Black Pork BBQ Jeju Review 2026: Olle Market Eats
Searching for the best meal in Seogwipo? Our review of Black Pork BBQ near Olle Market reveals why this spot serves the juiciest pork on Jeju Island.

The Best Black Pork BBQ Near Seogwipo Olle Market
Hello, fellow travelers! Today, I want to share the absolute highlight of my recent culinary adventures on Jeju Island.
If you're visiting Seogwipo, dining at a local black pork restaurant is practically a rite of passage. But not all spots are created equal. I stumbled upon Black Pork BBQ (흑돼지BBQ) right near the bustling Olle Market, and it completely blew me away. I’ve been raving about it to all my friends ever since!
This place takes its meat seriously. They use only premium, top-tier Jeju black pork—the exact same high-quality cuts supplied to luxury spots like the Shilla Hotel and Hyundai Department Store. Trust me, the quality is on a whole different level compared to your average BBQ joint.
Location & Hours

📍 Black Pork BBQ (흑돼지BBQ)
1F, 7 Taepyeong-ro 353beon-gil, Seogwipo-si, Jeju-do
📌 Hours: Daily 4:30 PM - 11:00 PM
(Last Order: 10:00 PM)
Location-wise, it doesn't get much better than this. It’s less than a 10-minute walk from Seogwipo Olle Market (under a half-mile). It’s also incredibly close to major attractions like Cheonjiyeon Waterfall, Jeongbang Waterfall, and Lee Jung-seop Street. If you're staying at a nearby hotel, it’s the perfect spot to grab dinner after a long day of exploring.
Vibe & Atmosphere

The interior features classic, round K-BBQ tables that give it an authentic, lively feel. It’s incredibly popular with both Jeju locals and international tourists, so there’s usually a waitlist during peak dinner hours.
I arrived a bit early this time to beat the rush, which was a smart move! On previous visits, every table was packed.
Menu & Prices

The menu is straightforward, based on your party size:
2-Person Set (1.1 lbs): ~$42
3-Person Set (1.3 lbs): ~$51
4-Person Set (1.8 lbs): ~$68
5-Person Set (2.2 lbs): ~$85
Additional Portions: ~$17
Pro tip: It’s so delicious that you will inevitably want more. I always end up ordering one extra portion than the number of people in my group!
Since there were four of us, we ordered the 4-Person Set (1.8 lbs) alongside some bowls of rice.

While the kitchen pre-cooks the meat over an open flame, the staff sets up your table with a generous spread of mouth-watering side dishes (banchan), various dipping sauces, and fresh lettuce wraps.
The Feast: Jeju Black Pork Review

The moment you walk into Black Pork BBQ, the smoky, savory aroma hits you. Because the owner expertly sears the meat in the back first, you don't have to wait long at your table for it to finish cooking.

A wonderful staff member (often affectionately called "Imo-nim" or auntie) grilled our meat to absolute perfection. She cut it into bite-sized pieces and even gave us tips on the best ways to enjoy it.

The second I took a bite, the juices just exploded. It was a masterpiece.
I couldn't help but let out a loud "Wow... this is amazing." The staff proudly reminded us that this is top-grade black pork, the same standard served at five-star hotels, and honestly? The flavor backed up the claim 100%.

What surprised me most is that this isn't dry-aged meat; it's fresh, yet unbelievably tender and buttery. (Just writing this is making my mouth water again!)

You really have to taste it to understand—the perfect balance of rich flavor and melt-in-your-mouth texture. I used to think the trendy, dry-aged black pork spots were the pinnacle of Jeju BBQ, but I was wrong.
This spot near Olle Market is the real hidden gem.

To top it all off, they even served us a complimentary dish of premium beef tartare (yukhoe). Talk about amazing hospitality!

Ordering the 4-Person Set is fantastic because you get to sample a variety of premium cuts:
Pork Belly (Ogyeopsal)
Pork Cheek (Gabrisal)
Pork Neck (Moksal)
Pork Jowl (Hangjeongsal)

As you can see from the photos, the cuts are incredibly thick and generous.

It was so fun experiencing the subtle differences in flavor and texture between each cut.

The pork neck (Moksal) is distinctly leaner and softer than the other cuts, making it a fantastic choice if you're dining with kids.

The five-layer pork belly (Ogyeopsal) and pork cheek (Gabrisal) are much richer, dripping with savory juices and offering that satisfying, chewy bite K-BBQ is famous for.

And the pork jowl (Hangjeongsal)? It has this amazing, snappy texture that bursts with flavor every time you chew. Pure perfection.
Honestly, every single cut was phenomenal. Whichever part you get, you're in for a treat.

I loved it so much on my last trip that I had to bring my friends this time, and they were giving it enthusiastic thumbs-ups the entire meal!
If you are hunting for the ultimate restaurant near Seogwipo Olle Market, you absolutely must add Black Pork BBQ to your itinerary. (I personally guarantee you'll love it!)
With its unbeatable location under a half-mile from the market and a stone's throw from major waterfalls, it fits seamlessly into any sightseeing schedule.

Spend your afternoon exploring Olle Market and the nearby coastal sights, then wrap up your day with an epic black pork feast. It’s the recipe for a perfect day in Jeju!
