Cheongju Airport Dining Guide 2026: Best Restaurants Before Your Flight

The 1st floor houses both the arrivals and departures lobbies. It's a great spot if you're short on time or just need a quick bite to eat.

Mr. Hotteok

I personally tried this spot back in March (2026). It's located between gates 1 and 2, and the Ssiat Hotteok (sweet pancake with seeds) was around ~$2.

The hotteok was deliciously crispy on the outside and surprisingly packed with filling. They also sell a variety of other snacks like fish cakes (eomuk), churros, and hot dogs, making it a perfect spot for a light pre-flight treat.

Baeknyeongage

Near Gate 1, you'll find Baeknyeongage, which features two local culinary gems: Yukgeori Somunnan Mandu and Nadri. These establishments are renowned for their delicious dumplings, spicy cold noodles (jjolmyeon), and udon.

It's a fantastic option for a casual meal, offering a taste of Cheongju's representative dishes right within the airport.

Coffeenie & CU Convenience Store

Right in the center of the 1st floor, you'll spot Coffeenie and a CU convenience store side-by-side. They're super convenient for grabbing a drink before your flight or stocking up on snacks. Plus, their central location makes them easy to find!

If you're looking for a proper meal at Cheongju Airport, head straight to the 2nd floor. Among the various options, the Flavor6 Food Court really stands out.

I actually had dinner here in May (2026) before my flight.

My husband ordered the Donkatsu (pork cutlet), and I opted for the Seolleongtang (ox bone soup), and both were satisfying meals.

What truly impressed me, though, was the speed of service.

After placing our order at the kiosk and finding a table, the food alert buzzed almost instantly! When you're at an airport with a boarding time looming, waiting for food can be a real source of anxiety. Here, you won't have to worry about that at all.

Both the Seolleongtang and Donkatsu were exactly what you'd expect – comforting and delicious. With a wide array of Korean dishes like gukbap (rice soup) and soft tofu stew (sundubu-jjigae), it's a fantastic choice for families traveling together.

No Brand Burger

If you're pressed for time or just craving something quick, No Brand Burger is an excellent choice. The ordering and dining process is incredibly fast, making it ideal for solo travelers or business commuters who need a speedy, satisfying meal without feeling too heavy.

Dessert Cafe Lineup

For those who want to indulge in a light dessert after their meal, the 2nd floor also boasts several fantastic cafes. You can find pastries at Gontran Cherrier, pretzels at Beurre Beurre, and ice cream at Twizzle. Grab a coffee and savor a moment of relaxation before your flight.

Dine Before Security Screening.

This is one of the most common mistakes first-time visitors to Cheongju Airport make. Most of the main restaurants are located in the general public area. Once you pass through security and enter the boarding gate area, your dining options significantly decrease. So, I highly recommend having your meal before you go through security.

Bringing Food on Domestic Flights is Allowed.

For domestic flights, like the Cheongju to Jeju route, food and drink regulations are quite relaxed. Most beverages, snacks, and fruits are allowed in the cabin. So, feel free to grab some snacks from the convenience store on the 1st floor to enjoy on your flight – it's a great option when you're short on time!

I'd heard that Cheongju Airport used to have limited food options. But with the recent renovations, the variety of restaurants has definitely improved, making it much more convenient for travelers.

My recent visit to Flavor6 highlighted its efficient ordering and serving system, which is perfectly suited for airport travelers mindful of their boarding times.

I also really enjoyed Mr. Hotteok for its diverse snack offerings.
