The Exterior
Located in Sinheung-ri, Jocheon-eup on the eastern side of Jeju,
is this beautiful spot
where you can look out at the deep blue ocean
while enjoying seafood kalguksu (knife-cut noodles), ramen, and more.
The outside is decorated beautifully
with so many cute, charming touches!
It's a super popular spot
for both locals and tourists alike.
Highly recommended!

I took so many photos here!
The little octopus character is just too cute.

The owner is
a true master of hand-catching octopus!
Hours & Days Off
Every Day: 9:30 AM – 7:50 PM
Break Time: 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Closed on Thursdays

Through the large glass windows right in front of the restaurant,
you get a wide-open, expansive view of the ocean.
Since dolphins are known
to frequently visit this area,
if you're lucky,
you might catch a pod of dolphins
swimming by together!
On the day I visited,
the weather was absolutely perfect,
but unfortunately, they didn't make an appearance.

They also have Jeju gift boxes,
and there are surprisingly plenty of spots
to snap some great photos!

Menu & Pricing
They are famous for their seafood stew kalguksu,
which comes served with assorted tempura.
For the seafood stew kalguksu,
you can choose between red (spicy) or white (mild) broth.
We decided to try the 2-person set menu, which includes ramen, rice, kalguksu noodles, and beef brisket,
all for ~$40.
It was absolutely delicious!

Whole Seafood Kalguksu (Knife-Cut Noodles)
Whole Seafood Ramen
Half Kalguksu, Half Ramen
Octopus Ramen
Spicy Cold Octopus Noodles
Cold Octopus Buckwheat Soba
Assorted Fried Platters (Tempura)
Nostalgic Octopus Bento Boxes, and more!

A lot of solo travelers
come here for the octopus ramen,
and after ordering at the kiosk,
you can pay by card
right away!

Restaurant Vibe & Seating
The interior is super spacious,
and with over ten
4-person tables available,
it felt really comfortable and roomy to eat in.

While gazing at the beautiful Jeju ocean view,
you can enjoy a hearty,
healthy meal!

The Food

During
octopus-foraging season,
the owner catches them directly,
and during other times,
they only use the freshest,
highest-quality domestic octopus.

With a generous portion of abalone, octopus, shrimp, and clams,
the broth is incredibly deep, rich, and refreshing.
The red soup isn't too spicy,
the noodles are beautifully tender,
and there are so many dishes highlighting unique Jeju ingredients!

The taste is definitely on another level.

The abalone is so fresh
it's still moving...
The deep savory taste,
the live, moving abalone,
and the fact that all ingredients
are incredibly fresh
and high-quality.
The octopus is perfectly chewy,
and because they use
live seafood,
everything is unbelievably tender.
An absolutely mind-blowing taste!

There is definitely a reason why it's so famous.
Even the deep-fried dishes
are absolutely next-level!
It's insane.
So crispy
and literally melts in your mouth.

Im Young-woong visited here,
and ITZY's Ryujin came too!
So many celebrities have actually dropped by.
If you write a Naver review,
you can get
a free Hallabong (Jeju citrus) ice cream!
But since it's already the shop's
11th anniversary,
they gave me the ice cream as a celebratory treat!
The Hallabong ice cream was
so incredibly refreshing
and delicious.
