Located just a 10-minute drive (about 3 miles) from Jeju Airport,
this is the perfect place to grab a bite right after you land.
We arrived a bit past the lunch rush around 1:30 PM,
and were able to grab a table without any wait.
The interior is spotless,
and we didn't even expect a view, but it overlooks the ocean!
It's a great spot to take a scenic walk after your meal.
The must-try menu item is the Braised Rockfish.
[Braised Rockfish, Abalone, Shrimp & Sweet and Sour Rockfish Set]
We ordered the Large size.
~$92
After ordering, the table is quickly filled with side dishes including
grilled tilefish, marinated crab, dombe pork, tempura, and seasoned greens.
It felt like a full-course traditional Korean meal.
All the sides were fantastic, but the marinated crab wasn't overly salty—
it had a perfectly balanced, slightly sweet flavor.
Packed with plump rockfish, abalone, shrimp, and dried radish greens,
it's the ultimate revitalizing comfort food.
It looks bright red and intimidating
(and my dad has zero tolerance for spice!),
but it wasn't overly fiery at all—just deeply flavorful.
Wrap a piece of the saucy rockfish and greens in toasted seaweed,
and you'll easily polish off a whole bowl of rice.
The portion was more than enough for four adults.
We were absolutely stuffed by the end,
but we knew we'd regret leaving any behind,
so we finished every last bite haha.
I brought my parents here on a family trip,
and they said it was the best meal of the entire vacation.
It offers incredible value and has plenty of kid-friendly side dishes, making it
a highly recommended restaurant near Jeju Airport
for anyone traveling with family.
2. Jeju Sindaejanggunjib

This BBQ joint was right next to our hotel,
and it was packed every time we walked by.
Curiosity got the best of us on our last night!
They specialize in unique cuts of pork,
and the value for money is unbeatable.
Large Bowl (~1.3 lbs) / ~$18
You can also customize your order by specific cuts.
The meat is marinated beautifully,
with absolutely no gamey smell,
and the green onion salad was the absolute star of the show.
They serve the green onions in a metal lunchbox,
douse it in sauce, and let it cook down on the grill.
It's a completely different vibe from your standard fresh scallion salad.
There aren't a ton of side dishes,
but what they do serve pairs flawlessly with the pork.
If you want to skip the standard black pork and hit up an authentic,
local BBQ joint that actual residents flock to,
or if you're looking for an affordable, high-quality meat spot,
this is the place for you.
If I stay near Jeju Airport again,
I will 100% be coming back here.
3. Bistro Mayonnaise

This is hands-down the best draft Red Rock beer I've ever had in my life.
It's a hugely popular airport-adjacent spot,
so you'll need to do an "open run" (arrive right at opening) to avoid a wait.
Recommended Orders:
Pork Loin/Tenderloin Katsu ~$11
Mayonnaise Pilaf ~$10
And if you aren't driving... definitely get the Red Rock beer!
Honestly, the tonkatsu was on par with other great katsu spots,
but the Mayonnaise Pilaf completely stole my heart.
If they bottled and sold that sauce, I would have bought it in a heartbeat.
It's incredibly delicious, though both the katsu and the pilaf are on the richer side.
If you're someone who doesn't do well with heavy or rich foods,
you might find it a bit much toward the end.
(Though honestly, washing it down with a cold beer is pure heaven!)
Even though the place fills up the second they open their doors,
the staff are always incredibly welcoming and kind.
4. Sushi Uda
📍 Sushi Uda

This is the ultimate value-for-money omakase near Jeju Airport.
If you want to sit at the counter, reservations are an absolute must.
If you love sashimi, this place will blow your mind.
They offer both sushi sets and an omakase course.
We booked the omakase experience.
~$50 per person
True to the omakase style,
the lineup changes daily based on whatever fresh catch the chef brings in.
Honestly, it's rare to leave a high-end omakase feeling completely stuffed
(or is that just me...? lol)
But here, the chef literally never stops serving you...
He keeps the fish coming until you beg him to stop!
Getting to eat endless amounts of premium, fresh sashimi
for just ~$50?
You'd never find a deal like this back in the city.
This used to be my personal hidden gem,
but it was actually featured on a massive Korean reality TV show recently... *cries*
Please don't get any more famous...
Compared to ultra-luxury omakase spots,
it might lack some of the intricate avant-garde flavors,
but it stays incredibly true to the fundamental, pristine taste of fresh fish.
The chef is so friendly and hilarious,
making the entire dining experience an absolute joy.
If you love sushi, do not skip this place.
5. Sigolgil
📍 Sigolgil

This is the spot I've frequented the most right before heading to Jeju Airport.
It's a true local staple.
When you order the spicy stir-fried octopus, it comes with a rich fermented soybean stew (cheonggukjang),
and the combination is so good you'll easily crush two bowls of rice.
Actually, there's a place right next door called Yeondong-gil that was also great,
so we used to alternate between the two.
But reading recent reviews, it seems Yeondong-gil went through a remodel
and the flavor profile changed quite a bit.
The photos above are actually from Yeondong-gil,
but I highly recommend going to Sigolgil instead! lol
The octopus and soybean stew combo will look exactly like that.
A quick warning: it is quite spicy, so if you have a low spice tolerance,
this might be a bit too fiery for you.
Oh, and parking here is definitely on hard mode...
So there you have it—5 incredible local restaurants near Jeju Airport
that I've paid for with my own money and would visit again in a heartbeat.
Keep this list handy and have a delicious trip to Jeju! :)
