Go to a festival in *this* rain?

Honestly, I was hesitant to go out at first too.

It was raining quite heavily.

It's an outdoor festival, and I wondered if it would even be possible to really enjoy it with that much rain.

But after going, my mind completely changed.

Seriously, go even if it rains!

No, in fact, I enjoyed it even *more* because of the rain.

Jazz under an umbrella,

Music drifting through the sound of raindrops,

And a cool glass of beer to top it all off.

Jazz and beer on a rainy day?

This combination was pure romance.

The crowd was just right,

and people were watching performances, eating, and drinking even while getting a bit wet.

I truly enjoyed the first day to the fullest.

​ 2. 2026 Yuseong Jazz & Beer Festa Location & Parking ​

The festival grounds make extensive use of both the East and West sides of Yurim Park.

The East side features the Main Performance Stage and Beer Booths,

while the West side hosts the Jazz Beer Salon, a Yuoni Pop-up, and Photo Zones, among other attractions.

Personally, I found parking to be quite challenging.

If you plan to enjoy some beer,

it's definitely more convenient to use public transportation.

I arrived earlier than the start time,

so thankfully, I didn't have much trouble finding parking.

​ 3. 2026 Yuseong Jazz & Beer Festa First, Get Your Adult Verification Wristband Upon Entry ​

Those who plan to enjoy beer

should pick up an adult verification wristband first at the East entrance.

There were several craft beer booths on site,

and based on what I checked,

prices were approximately ~$4-5 per glass.

The problem is, once you have one drink, you just get curious about the next one! Haha.

"Should I just try this one?"

You say to yourself, but then you walk around and...

another beer catches your eye.

Food Trucks

Is it just beer? Of course not, there's delicious food too!

You can't just drink beer, right? Haha.

At the festival, there were also a variety of food trucks serving up tasty treats perfect for pairing with your beer.

Since there were food trucks offering such great eats,

we enjoyed some pizza and fries.

Listening to jazz, with beer and even pizza.

Now THAT'S a festival!

You could even bring in outside food,

so some people brought their own snacks and enjoyed it like a picnic.

​ 4. 2026 Yuseong Jazz & Beer Festa How to Enjoy a Rainy Day ​

On the first day, it rained quite a bit,

so it wasn't easy to lay out mats on the grass.

Still, some people spread their mats on the coconut fiber mats laid out in various spots,

and as time passed, tables and chairs were added.

There was also a standing area at the back for enjoying the performances.

The rain meant it wasn't a perfect grass picnic,

but it certainly didn't stop us from having a great time.

Last year, there were so many people that

it was hard to move around.

But on the first day, perhaps because of the rain, the crowd was just right,

making it easy to go back and forth from the front of the stage to the beer booths at the back.

We weren't able to reserve a cabana zone in advance.

On this day, perhaps due to the rain, some people who had booked didn't show up,

and as time passed, we saw others utilizing the empty spots.

​ 6. 2026 Yuseong Jazz & Beer Festa Did the Rain Ruin It? No, It Made It Even Better! ​

It rained a lot, didn't it?

So I thought, maybe it was ruined...

But actually, it was quite romantic!

It really poured down!

The lawn was getting muddier and muddier,

and our shoes were already beyond saving. Haha!

But here's the funny thing.

As time went on,

even this became a part of the festival experience.

Some people were walking around barefoot,

while others completely gave up on staying dry

and just embraced the rain head-on.

In front of the stage, umbrellas and raincoats were everywhere.

We came for the Jazz Festa,

but it felt like we were also enjoying an unexpected 'soak-fest'!

What was truly wonderful was the jazz music echoing from amidst all the umbrellas.

Everyone was doing their own thing,

humming along,

dancing in the rain,

and I even wondered, "Wow, can we really enjoy this for free?!"

The lights came on across the rainy lawn,

and the music drifted through the sound of the falling rain.

Ah, coming today was definitely the right choice.

That was exactly what I thought.

Raincoats, Fans, and Umbrellas – Oh My!

As the rain continued, staff members walked around distributing raincoats,

and even informed us that we could spread the raincoats on the ground to sit on.

After the rain stopped and it became humid and hot,

this time they handed out fans.

We also received umbrellas from a booth next to the operations center.

Since it was an outdoor festival in the rain, it could have been inconvenient,

but the continuous support from the staff on-site was truly impressive.

​ 6. 2026 Yuseong Jazz & Beer Festa Don't Miss the West Side! ​

This part is important!

Don't just see the East Side, where the main stage is,

and then head home.

Make sure to take a stroll around the West Side too!

Jazz Beer Salon: Fun Even If You Don't Know Jazz!

Especially the Jazz Beer Salon,

which was operated for the first time this year.

I truly loved this spot.

Upon entry, you receive a beer along with a snack pack.

It's a time to sit back with a beer,

enjoy some snacks,

listen to stories about jazz,

and experience the music firsthand.

You absolutely have to check this place out.

It was quite memorable for me.

Yuon-i Pop-up: The 100-Second Mission!

Here, they were running a 100-second mission.

If you completed the mission, you could receive Yuon-i related merchandise.

What we received was

I got a Yuseong Tourism Gift Certificate for ~$11!

My friend who came with me received a beer mug haha.

West Side Photo Zone is a Must-Visit

In front of the West Side bridge,

there's also a photo zone featuring palm trees, rattan lighting, vintage cars, and caravans.

With the lights reflecting on the rain-soaked ground,

it felt like being in Hawaii for a moment.

Overall, the festival's

space design, creating a resort-like atmosphere, was truly beautiful.

When I visited, they were also holding an

SNS verification event here.

I really liked the aroma perfume keyring I received after participating.

The scent was quite lovely, so

I kept sniffing it even after I got home, haha.

Events can end early, so

make sure to visit soon!

✔️ If you're drinking beer, get your adult verification wristband at the East Entrance first.

✔️ Craft beers are approximately ~$4-~$5 on-site.

✔️ If rain is forecast, rain boots or waterproof shoes are recommended.

✔️ The grass plaza gets quite muddy if it rains a lot.

✔️ For picnic mats, aim for spots around the palm mats.

✔️ Don't just stick to the main stage; definitely check out the Jazz Beer Salon on the West Side!

✔️ Performances and drone shows may be changed or canceled depending on weather conditions.

*sigh*... let's just say it was a serious situation.

Go even if it rains!

While it was a shame the drone light show was canceled on the first day due to heavy rain,

I didn't feel disappointed with the festival itself.

Jazz under an umbrella,

the sound of rain, music, and a refreshing glass of beer.

The lawn was muddy and I'd given up on my shoes, haha.

But even that became a unique memory of the first day.

The 2026 Yuseong Jazz & Beer Festa runs until August 30th.

If you're hesitating to go because of the rain,

grab your raincoat and comfortable shoes and just go for it!

And don't just see the East side; make sure to visit the West side too!

I'm going again today!
