Established along Daecheongho Lake, this spot is a healing sanctuary where you can relish clean air and stunning scenery, perfect for walks and relaxation.
It boasts different charms throughout all four seasons.

Daecheongho Waterfront Park, situated on the banks of Daecheongho Lake, is located along Hohan Nangman-gil (Lakeside Romantic Road), Section 4 of the Daecheongho Obaek-ri Gil.
Nearby, you'll find the Meditation Garden and Daecheongho Nature Eco-Hall, making it a great place to explore as part of a combined route.

In Chutong Village, a chrysanthemum festival is held, and with the Daecheongho Nature Eco-Hall, it's a fantastic place where children can learn and study about Daecheongho Lake.

Furthermore, Daecheongho Natural Waterfront Park is part of the '12 Best Walking Paths,' specifically the Chutong Lakeside Path.
This Daecheongho Lakeside Path makes you feel as if you've stepped into a beautiful watercolor painting.
Take a stroll along its beautiful mountain trails that fill you with wonder and excitement,
Explore the exhibits at the Nature Eco-Hall (*Please note: The Nature Eco-Hall is currently undergoing renovation work),
and admire the artworks displayed throughout the eco-park.
It's even better because you can find peaceful spots to rest and relax.

The parking lot at Daecheongho Waterfront Natural Park isn't very spacious.
Since visitors to Daecheongho Obaek-ri Gil also park here, it can often be hard to find a spot.
During seasons like this, there are fewer visitors, so it's more relaxed,
but on beautiful spring days, the parking lot gets full and feels quite small.
Weekdays are recommended for a visit.

To get to Daecheongho Natural Waterfront Park, you'll need to park and then cross a small road.

At the entrance, I spotted a sign for a 'Real Mission Game' to enjoy on the Daecheongho Obaek-ri Gil, and I was about to participate, but...
it seems to be too old, as the QR code wouldn't scan.

With well-maintained walking paths and rest areas, it's perfect for a stroll with children,
and some sections are even accessible for strollers and wheelchairs.

it's a place where both your body and mind will feel joyful.

These days, the autumn leaves and eulalia grass blend together beautifully, making for perfect photo opportunities.

Inside the park, you'll find well-maintained walking paths and lush lawns,
along with plenty of benches scattered throughout for resting.
This makes it easy for both children and adults to relax and enjoy nature.

Perhaps the most popular photo zone in the park is the windmill, which harmonizes with its surroundings to create a beautiful landscape.
The windmill, prominently located in the heart of the park,
sways gently in the cool breeze from Daecheong Lake, creating a serene yet romantic scene.
While in spring and summer, the flowers and green grass around the windmill blend to give a vibrant feel,
autumn brings added hues of fallen leaves and warm scenery,
and now, as winter approaches, you can experience a calm atmosphere along with the tranquil landscape.

.
Daecheongho Lake Waterfront Park is also home to a Rose Garden.
This is a place where you can fully enjoy the diverse charms of beautifully blooming roses of various species.
You'll see its most spectacular display especially from late May to early June when the roses are in full bloom.

The park also features various photo zones scattered throughout,
and within the Rose Garden, you'll even find themed areas inspired by Daejeon's iconic tourist spots,
such as Daedong Sky Park and Sangso-dong Forest Recreational Area.
In spring and early summer, when the roses are in full bloom, you can capture vibrant, colorful photos against a brilliant backdrop.

The view from the Rose Garden's observatory is particularly stunning.
It offers an expansive, unobstructed vista, allowing you to take in Daecheong Lake and the park's natural scenery at a glance.
The picturesque landscape is incredibly beautiful, making it the perfect spot for capturing unforgettable photos.

Inside the Rose Garden, there's a spacious lawn, perfect for children to run and play,
On a beautiful day, you can pack a lunch and enjoy a delightful picnic here.
Of course, it's a bit chilly to be with kids during this colder season,
but I think it would be even better to visit in spring! 😉

As if sharing the children's wish for spring to arrive,
I was surprised to find yellow roses blooming out of season in the rose garden,
and even cherry blossoms on the trees!
When spring truly arrives, with roses and cherry blossoms in full bloom,
I imagine this park will be even more spectacular.

It's also a fantastic spot for ecological learning, where you can observe a variety of plants and flowers.
From wildflowers in spring and lush greenery in summer,
to vibrant autumn leaves and silver grass in fall, and snowscapes in winter – you can truly experience the full cycle of nature here.

Additionally, the park features a small ecological pond where you can delve into nature studies.
Showing the children the tiny creatures in the water and telling them stories about them was incredibly captivating for them.

The trees planted on both sides of the deck path are so dense and lush, making it seem like a wonderful, cool place for a walk even in summer.

Along the deck path, you'll find beautiful poems interspersed,
giving us a chance to read them with the children and imagine the emotion and beauty conveyed by the poetry amidst nature, creating truly meaningful moments.

In the center of the park, there's a water fountain and an insect repellent dispenser available.
On the day of my visit, the water fountain was not operational, but the insect repellent dispenser was ready for use.
There are also exercise machines tucked away in one corner of the park, so
taking a walk while breathing in the fresh air and getting some exercise at the same time
really made my tensed body relax and feel healthier. It was wonderful! 😉
