Just a 5-10 minute drive from the airport, it's perfect for a visit right after you arrive
or as your very last stop before you depart.

is super close, just about a 5-10 minute drive from the airport,
making it a convenient cafe to include in your itinerary on your first or last day in Jeju.
Above all, it's already famous for its salt bread, so I was curious to check it out.

Location and Parking: What to Expect?
Address: Yudong Coffee Salt Factory Branch, 1st Floor, 30 Yongmaseo 1-gil, Jeju-si

Parking: Street parking available near the cafe

Located near Jeju's Yongdam Coastal Road,
you can feel the proximity to the sea.
It's just a 5-10 minute drive from the airport,
making its accessibility truly excellent.
However, as it's already a well-known cafe, during weekends or peak seasons,
parking spaces can get crowded,
so I recommend visiting on weekdays or during earlier hours.

A Space Remodeled from a Salt Factory,
What's the Vibe Like?
Since it's a space remodeled from an old salt factory, preserving its original features,
it definitely had a different feel compared to a typical cafe.

The interior itself is so unique that, besides enjoying coffee,
there was also the fun of exploring the cafe space.

Despite being a unique cafe, it had plenty of tables and felt spacious.
It also offers a wide menu and a distinctive concept among Jeju cafes,
making it a great spot to visit with friends or family.
Even if you're a family or group of friends with 5 or more people,
You'll find plenty of spacious tables to settle into!

While Yudong Coffee has several branches across Jeju,
this incredible Salt Factory concept is exclusively found at their Jeju City branch.
So make sure to save this spot and plan your visit!

A brief history of Yudong Coffee's Salt Factory branch is displayed here.
Apparently, since 1982, seawater from the Yongduam coast
was drawn and boiled to create salt by
the Yeongil Salt Factory, which has now been wonderfully reborn as this cafe!

Signature Menu Highlights
Given that it's a unique cafe creatively repurposed from an actual salt factory,
the menu itself is wonderfully unique, making it delightfully challenging to pick just one item! 😄

First off, Yudong Coffee Salt Factory is a true specialty coffee haven where you can customize your brew by choosing your preferred beans!
For all you coffee-loving explorers visiting Jeju,
this is an absolute must-visit cafe, conveniently located near Jeju Airport!

Among their coffee selections, the Salt Milk Latte
stands out as the most popular signature drink.
They actually add coffee ice cubes directly, which is a cool visual treat and
the blend of salty and sweet flavors was surprisingly delightful!
It somehow brought Hallasan Mountain to mind, giving it that distinct Jeju vibe,
and it perfectly complemented the salt factory cafe concept.

When it comes to desserts, the Yeongil Salt Bread is quite famous.
Out of all the salt breads I've ever tasted,
this one was the closest to the delicious salt bread I enjoyed during my trip to Japan!
If you visit Yudong Coffee Salt Factory, I highly recommend trying the salt bread in addition to your drink choice!

The Tiramisu Cafe Latte was personally a sweet treat that I absolutely loved!
The Strawberry Yogurt Smoothie and Egg Tart were on the menu for the child who came with me, and they truly didn't skimp on the ingredients,
making them even more delicious.
Even the egg tart had a delightful sprinkle of salt on top,
giving you that perfect sweet and salty combination.
And it was generously filled!

They also offer a variety of drip bags and souvenirs for sale.
You can even purchase their signature Salt Milk in bottles to take home.
This makes for a really special souvenir when you're traveling in Jeju, perfect for friends or colleagues.
And if you have kids, the Salt Milk is a huge, huge recommendation!!!

Should you expect a wait?
It's quite a popular spot, so on weekends or during peak season,
you might encounter a bit of a wait.
Since they open at 9 AM, consider visiting early in the morning,
or pop in on a weekday for a more relaxed experience.
