Among the must-see attractions for a trip to Seogwipo, Jeju, in October, along with Sanbangsan,

Yongmeori Coast is definitely a highlight.

The tricky part is that access to Yongmeori Coast

varies daily depending on the tides and weather.

So, whether you can enter or not changes every day.

Before our family trip with the kids, we were most concerned about whether we'd be able to get in.

If we went all that way only to find it closed,

it would be tiring for the kids and a waste of our time.

Fortunately, our family managed to visit Yongmeori Coast successfully,

even without extensive preparation. Based on our actual experience,

I'll share all the details, from how to check the tide times and admission fees,

to the estimated visit duration.

Location and Parking Information

Address: 112-3 Sagye-ri, Andeok-myeon, Seogwipo-si, Jeju

Parking:

It's located in Sagye-ri, Andeok-myeon, Seogwipo-si,

nestled right below Sanbangsan Mountain.

You can use either the Sanbangsan parking lot

or the Yongmeori Coast public parking lot.

Both are free, so no worries there!

Since it's a popular spot often visited alongside Sanbangsan,

I also recommend parking at Sanbangsan

and enjoying the scenic walk down to the coast.

Admission Hours

Operating hours vary by season, but they are generally

from 09:00 to 17:00.

However, the actual admission times

change daily based on the tides!

Integrated Ticket (Sanbangsan & Yongmeori Coast):

There's also an integrated ticket available if you plan to visit both Sanbangsan and Yongmeori Coast,

which is a smart way to save money if you're exploring both attractions.

The walking trail along the coastal cliffs takes approximately

30 minutes to an hour.

Even strolling leisurely with kids,

it's a manageable and enjoyable path.

Families who love taking photos will also find plenty of opportunities

to capture some amazing shots at their own pace.

you can simply call the Yongmeori Coast Ticket Office

to confirm whether visits are possible!

It's always a good idea to check on the morning of your planned visit to Seogwipo, Jeju.

Just a heads-up: drone photography is prohibited here,

and pets are not allowed either.

How was it walking here with the kids?

October is fantastic because the intense summer heat has finally subsided,

making it so much easier and more pleasant to walk with children~!

However, the trail isn't a uniformly flat path all the way,

so I highly recommend lacing up your athletic shoes instead of wearing slippers.

Also, given its coastal nature, it can get quite breezy,

so it's a smart idea to pack a light outer layer.

(I wore Crocs, but seriously, athletic shoes are the way to go!)

It's even nicknamed Korea's Grand Canyon for a reason!

The sandstone cliff layers, sculpted over tens of millions of years, are truly magnificent,

and even the kids watched in absolute wonder.

Its unique coastal cliff topography

means that not only on bright, sunny days, but even on cloudy ones,

you can soak in truly exotic scenery

and it's an incredible spot for capturing stunning photos!
