You'll find Y-Top just a 12-minute walk from Hongdae Entrance Station (홍대입구역) Exit 3.

Y-Top offers a dedicated ground-level parking lot, conveniently located about 33 feet (10 meters) from the restaurant.

However, please note that parking is exclusively for customers with reservations, so it's highly recommended to book your visit in advance, ideally through Naver's booking system.

2. Ambiance & Setting

The restaurant spans two levels, the 2nd and 3rd floors, and features an elegant, antique-inspired interior with warm wood tones, creating an overall serene and sophisticated atmosphere.

On the 3rd floor, you'll find private rooms, making it an excellent choice for intimate gatherings like pre-wedding celebrations, proposals, family dinners, or anniversaries where you desire a quiet setting.

As Y-Top is a popular spot for date nights in Yeonnam-dong, I made sure to book ahead for my visit. I was delighted to be seated at a table with excellent natural light and a pleasant view.

3. The Yeonnam-dong Culinary Experience

The menu at Y-Top primarily features Western dishes like pasta, risotto, salads, pizzas, and cheese platters. Among these, the Beef Wellington stands out as Y-Top's signature dish. It's not often you find this exquisite dish, so it's an absolute must-try!

Furthermore, Y-Top is also renowned as a top pasta restaurant in Yeonnam-dong, so I highly recommend ordering a pasta dish alongside your meal.

Set Menu A (for 2 people) includes:

Appetizer Bread + Salad or Pizza + Beef Wellington + Pasta or Risotto + 2 Drinks

I opted for Set Menu A, which included both the Beef Wellington and a pasta dish. It was incredibly convenient as it came with everything from appetizer bread to salad and drinks, meaning no need for extra orders!

The appetizer bread was perfectly crisp on the outside and wonderfully soft on the inside, offering a delightful texture. Served with olive oil and balsamic vinegar, it was a fantastic way to whet our appetites before the main courses.

The Month's Special Salad

During my visit, I ordered the month's special salad. For March, it featured a refreshing mix of oranges and nuts, generously topped with cheese. It offered a delightful blend of sweet, tangy, and nutty flavors.

Above all, the vegetables were incredibly fresh, making it impossible to stop reaching for more.

Rigatoni Ragu Pasta

The rigatoni pasta was thick and delightfully chewy, with the rich sauce perfectly coating every bite. The generous amount of meat in the ragu offered a burst of flavor with each mouthful. It's clear why Y-Top is celebrated as a top pasta destination in Yeonnam-dong! 🥹

Beef Wellington

After the pasta, the dish I was most excited for was the Beef Wellington! This exquisite dish involves baking beef tenderloin wrapped in pastry, a labor-intensive process that results in a higher price tag. However, it's absolutely a must-try experience!

The combination of the crispy pastry and the tender beef tenderloin was absolutely divine. The pastry itself was slightly savory, making it flavorful even without extra sauce. Pairing it with asparagus and baby carrots added a wonderful crunch and a refreshing balance to each bite!

The creamy white sauce on the plate had a hint of a sour cream profile, offering a smooth yet subtly piquant flavor. The delicate aroma of truffle oil further enhanced the Beef Wellington's rich taste. It was an immediate confirmation of why this spot is considered a top Beef Wellington restaurant in Yeonnam-dong, Seoul!

While Y-Top is celebrated as a top Yeonnam-dong pasta restaurant, many also seek it out specifically for its Beef Wellington. The antique atmosphere makes it an excellent choice for a romantic Yeonnam-dong date spot, or for gatherings with friends and family, including pre-wedding celebrations.
