the Yeonnam-dong izakaya hotspot: Yesterday Yakitori and Oden.

It's a spot where you can truly immerse yourself in the authentic atmosphere of a local Japanese izakaya,

It's a fantastic pub in Yeonnam-dong where you can really unwind and enjoy!

Exterior / Interior

This Yeonnam-dong izakaya is located on the 2nd floor, tucked away in the alley next to Taylor Coffee.

The entrance is on the side of the building,

and as soon as you step inside, the lanterns light up, instantly giving off a strong Japanese vibe.

Once you go upstairs, you'll find a waiting list,

and the owner will personally come out to confirm reservations and guide you to your table.

The interior features bar seating, tables for two, and tables for four.

It looked perfect for solo diners, dates, or group gatherings.

On one side, there's a steaming oden bar,

where you can freely pick and choose any oden you like.

There's also a hanger available to store your coats,

and the restroom is located outside the restaurant.

and a variety of Japanese appetizers, along with sake, shochu, and other alcoholic beverages.

Your ordered sake arrives with the bottle, and they pour until your glass is brimming,

sometimes even overflowing into the saucer!

Shio Ramen

A ramen characterized by its light yet deeply flavorful broth,

its thin noodles and warm broth made it a perfect pairing with sake.

Hatsu (Chicken Heart)

Plump chicken hearts, expertly skewered,

and the combination with the negitare (scallion sauce) on top was absolutely perfect!

Negima

This yakitori combines succulent chicken and crisp green onions,

and it's personally my absolute favorite skewer on the menu!

Yaki Onigiri

With golden-brown grilled rice and egg atop crisp seaweed,

it makes for a satisfying meal option too.

Tsukubonara

This dish is a unique fusion, combining tsukune (chicken meatball) with carbonara,

and they grate fresh cheese right in front of you, as much as you desire!

Kawa (Chicken Skin)

These skewers were grilled to a perfect crisp, offering a delightful texture!

Nagoya Doteni

This dish features beef sinew and offal, richly simmered in a miso-based broth,

and is said to be a regional specialty of Nagoya.

Its savory and rich flavor makes it an excellent accompaniment to drinks.

Miso Kushikatsu

Crispy fried skewers are generously topped with a sweet and savory miso sauce,

creating an absolutely addictive flavor!

Nagoya-style Karaage

This Nagoya-style karaage boasts an irresistibly peppery aroma that will keep you coming back for more!

When you order shochu,

they even serve it in charming, retro-inspired glasses — a delightful touch!
