Four moms and four kids on an epic adventure!
We set off on a bold, dads-free getaway to Jeju Island, and to say it was a whirlwind is an understatement.
We laughed constantly every single day,
but our sanity was definitely tested more than once!
While we couldn't even dream of visiting trendy cafes or quiet Michelin-starred restaurants with this crew,
our little ones ate well, slept soundly, and had the absolute time of their lives.
Though a meticulously planned itinerary went out the window on day one,
I wanted to document a few standout spots that made this trip truly unforgettable.
Oh, and by the way, #ShinhwaThemePark was also fantastic!
I don't know what we would have done if we hadn't stayed at #ShinhwaWorld!

One of the absolute highlights of our trip was
#WonderIsland located right inside #JejuShinhwaWorld!
Since we had a large group, we stayed at the spacious #SomersetJejuShinhwaWorld.
When we heard that Wonder Island was located right next door in the Clubhouse, we popped in with modest expectations—only to have our minds completely blown by how much fun it was!
Wonder Island Ticket Prices:
Adults: ~$11
Children: ~$8
Infants under 36 months are FREE (proof of age, like a passport, is strictly required!)
Pro Tip for Discounts:
Guests staying at Shinhwa World get an automatic 20% discount!
If you're visiting Jeju with kids, you don't want to spend your vacation in a generic indoor playground.
If it happens to rain, or if it's too hot or cold outside,
this is the absolute perfect place to spend a few hours!
From toddlers taking their first steps to kids aged 6-7, and even parents, everyone will find something to love here. Highly recommended!

Wonder Island is a next-generation story park that brings Jeju's local myths and native animals to life through stunning digital media.
It features 10 unique themed zones where nature and technology blend seamlessly.
Each zone is beautifully crafted, making us completely lose track of time.

In the very first zone, you can point your phone at the media art screens to "catch" different animals, almost like a real-life Pokémon GO game!
Our little ones were completely hooked trying to capture them all.

Surrounded by captivating sights and sounds, the kids ran around creating giant digital splashes with every step.

Look at our little princess showing off her strength!
Because so many of the exhibits are highly tactile and interactive, the kids could touch, play, and fully immerse themselves in the space.
Since we visited on a weekday, we had the entire place almost to ourselves, allowing us to explore every corner at our own pace.

There's also a drum zone!
When you beat the drums, the buildings on the screen bounce and dance along to the rhythm.
It looked so much fun that even the moms couldn't resist taking a turn!

The toy hammer games were a massive hit. Pure joy for both kids and adults!

Another highlight was the digital coloring station where kids can color traditional zodiac animal masks on a tablet and project them onto the main wall.
Our little artist must have colored over ten masks!
Since it wasn't crowded, she kept coming back to paint more, completely lost in her creative zone.

This zone was incredibly cool!
Giant gym balls sat under spinning, swirling digital projections, creating an immersive, thrilling landscape. I walked back and forth through it several times.
The lighting here is stunning—absolutely perfect for your Instagram feed!
There are so many unique, visually stunning spaces to explore.

This is the closest we got to a group photo on this trip (even though a few of us are still missing, haha!).
That's the beauty of this place.
It's a spot where parents can actually relax enough to take photos.
It's climate-controlled (not too hot, not too cold), entirely safe, highly engaging, and has zero wait times. No stress, no tantrums!
...Maybe that's why they call it Wonder Island...
Since Jeju Wonder Island is located on the 2nd floor of the Somerset Clubhouse, parking is a breeze and it's incredibly easy to find.
If you're staying at Shinhwa World, it's the perfect activity to fill a few hours right before check-in or right after check-out!
