3. Our Dining Experience at The Westin Seoul Parnas OnTheTable

As soon as we were seated, a beautifully prepared welcome appetizer was served directly to our table. Right from the start, I felt truly pampered and welcomed, which was incredibly exciting! This season featured a summer health-boosting eel dish, and the Gochang eel with bokbunja (Korean black raspberry) sauce was so delicious I wanted more. The Summer Breeze welcome drink, with its main ingredient of apple cider vinegar, was perfectly refreshing and really whet our appetites.

Apparently, the appetizer menu changes seasonally to feature fresh ingredients. It made me think it would be wonderful to revisit every quarter to try their new seasonal dishes.

Before diving into the main dishes, I made a beeline for the salad bar, keeping in mind a 'slow-aging' diet. The vegetables were incredibly fresh, so much so that I could truly taste their subtle sweetness even without any dressing. I especially enjoyed the Korean melon salad; its sweet and crisp texture was simply delightful.

My meat-loving husband immediately headed for the grill section. With a variety of options like Hanwoo steak, lamb chops, LA galbi (grilled short ribs), and chuck flap, it was easy to pick exactly what you craved. What truly stood out was that they didn't grill large batches of meat in advance; instead, they cooked smaller portions fresh on the spot. This meant we could enjoy warm, tender, and incredibly juicy meat every time.

Beyond the meats, the Chinese dishes, including lobster, cream shrimp, and Peking duck, were all equally delicious. Just picking one of each already filled a whole plate! After trying everything, we even went back for more of our favorites.

Right next to it, there was an incredible cheese waterfall as part of a live performance, where they used the cheese to create fresh Hanwoo mini burgers and Aussie cheese fries on the spot.

I tried a Hanwoo mini burger, and with its juicy patty combined with rich, savory melted cheese, it was easily the best burger I've had recently.

The seafood here is also incredibly fresh and absolutely delicious. The sushi, prepared by the chefs right in front of you, was of a quality that rivaled even a dedicated omakase experience.

The fresh tuna from the sashimi zone, in particular, just melted in my mouth the moment I tasted it, rich and savory.

The fresh sashimi, including sweet shrimp, abalone, flounder, and sea bream, boasted not only a delightful bouncy texture but also a sweet, rich flavor. And to top it all off, luxurious crustaceans like snow crab, lobster, and king crab were simply perfection.

What was particularly great was that they kept it steamed, so we could enjoy it warm. The snow crab claws were so huge and meaty; there was plenty to feast on!

Once we were nicely full, we moved on to the dessert section for a sweet and satisfying conclusion. It wasn't just about the sheer variety; each dessert boasted high-quality flavor, making it a truly rich and thoughtful selection.

What I loved most was the abundance of fresh, sweet mangoes and other fruits. As expected from a hotel famous for its bakery, every single cake at the buffet was both beautiful and delicious.

For coffee and drinks – essential companions to any dessert – you can conveniently order directly from your table using a QR code, and a staff member will personally serve you. While many hotel buffets charge for beverages, here, everything is complimentary! What's more, decaf options and oat milk substitutions are also available at no extra charge, showcasing their exceptional attention to customer comfort. The tea selection was also diverse and delicious, so I found myself ordering several times. It truly felt like a service that elevated the overall buffet experience to the highest level of satisfaction.

Especially from July to August, this seasonal visit felt even more special because we could savor nourishing dishes perfect for summer revitalization, like the Emperor's Haeshintang (Seafood Broth for health), Lobster Sanla Soup, North Korean-style Chicken Muchim (spicy seasoned chicken), and even On:The Table's signature Black Garlic Sauce Guobaorou (sweet and sour pork).
4. Final Thoughts

So far, I've shared my vivid review of The Westin Seoul Parnas On:The Table, often hailed as one of Seoul's top three hotel buffets. The variety of dishes is impressive, but it's truly a place where the taste and quality of each and every item shine.

I first fell in love with this place during a family gathering for 'Family Month' in May, but returning for a romantic date for my husband's birthday felt like a completely different, yet equally wonderful, experience. If you're looking for a special anniversary spot for a family gathering or a memorable occasion with loved ones, I hope you'll enjoy a delightful time at The Westin Seoul Parnas On:The Table – a place that always offers a perfect culinary gift, no matter when you visit!
