Recommended Executive Staycation Review

Hi everyone, I'm Baeji! (ᴗ͈ˬᴗ͈)
My review of The Westin Josun Seoul, the ultimate Seoul staycation hotel!
It was so scorching hot this year that I decided to swap the usual pension trip for a luxury staycation instead! I spent ages wondering where to go...
But compared to places like Andaz or L'Escape, the service here was so much warmer,
and the Executive lounge dining options kept me completely full and satisfied.
I left The Westin Josun feeling absolutely thrilled with my stay!

1. Seoul Staycation
These days, while traveling to local pensions or camping spots is great for summer vacations,
the thought of packing up everything and moving around in this heat sounded exhausting.
So, I decided to go for a hassle-free Seoul staycation instead! ꔛ

There are quite a few famous staycation hotels in Seoul,
and I was torn between Lotte Hotel and the Hilton as well.
But since I was taking public transit, getting to the Hilton seemed too hot to handle,
and Lotte Hotel felt a bit too crowded and hectic.
So, I finally chose The Westin Josun!
Plus, their legendary delicious breakfast was a huge selling point. ㅎ.ㅎ
My checklist for choosing a staycation hotel:
✔️ Amazing breakfast + Great subway access + Not too crowded/noisy
📍 The Westin Josun Seoul
106 Sogong-ro, Jung-gu, Seoul
2. The Westin Josun

Located in Myeongdong, The Westin Josun is close to City Hall and Deoksugung Palace.
There are also nearby art museums,
making it perfect for a cozy indoor date after checking out the next day!
Since it's on the pricier side,
I read tons of reviews to make sure it was worth the money before booking...

But by booking the Executive package, you get access to the sauna, pool,
and all of your meals (dinner, snacks, and breakfast) are included!
Just like the reviews said, there was so much to do that there wasn't a single boring moment.
I highly recommend it as a perfect venue for anniversaries or proposals!
Executive Room Rates for Aug 20 (Thu) - Aug 21 (Fri)
Platform | Price | Booking Link |
Agoda | Around ~$423 | |
Yeogi Eottae (Good Choice) | Around ~$480 | |
Trip.com | Around ~$480 |
While all three are on the pricier side, Agoda was the cheapest,
so you can get the best value by booking the same room through Agoda!
If you choose a room-only option without breakfast and dinner,
it will be about ~$64 cheaper! ദ്디・ᴗ・)
Also, children up to 11 years old can stay for free,
so you can enjoy a family night without any extra charges!

Even these rates keep rising as your travel dates approach,
so if you're planning for an anniversary or proposal,
I highly recommend securing a booking on Agoda right now with free cancellation!

The room we stayed in was the Executive Twin Room.
As expected of a 5-star hotel, the bedding and bathrobes
were absolutely spotless and clean.
Lately, I've only been visiting pensions where I had to clean up everything before checking out,
but relaxing in a luxury hotel like this
made me feel like I didn't need to travel abroad at all! ㅎ.ㅎ

The room was spacious enough for two, and there was even a little table for snacks,
making it perfect for enjoying some late-night takeout!
Of course, they served us such a massive dinner that we only had room for some Yoajeong (yogurt ice cream) for dessert... haha.

The bathroom amenities were super neat, and since the shower booth and toilet were separate, it was so convenient to get ready and do my makeup!
I loved that they provided body lotion—even in the summer, applying it after a shower
left my skin feeling incredibly fresh and hydrated!

There are some great running spots nearby,
and with breakfast and evening snack times all sorted out,
the absolute best part was just staying cool and relaxing all day long ꔛ
When it comes to summer getaways, a relaxing staycation in a cool hotel is honestly so much better than sweating over a grill while glamping!
4. Executive Lounge Review

First up, the swimming pool available to all guests!
While it's not an outdoor infinity pool vibe,
it's perfectly set up for a refreshing indoor swim.
- Age limit: 36 months and older
- Pool maintenance hours: 11:30 AM ~ 12:30 PM, 6:00 PM ~ 7:00 PM
- Executive Benefits -
Breakfast: 6:00 AM ~ 10:00 AM
Daytime Snacks: 11:00 AM ~ 4:00 PM
Cocktail Hour: 6:00 PM ~ 9:00 PM (Fri-Sat 5:00 PM ~ 9:20 PM)

This is the snack time dessert you can enjoy
right after checking in!
As a huge dessert lover, I absolutely adored this part... lol.
Sipping tea and eating sweets while looking at the cool view
really made it feel like the ultimate luxury staycation.

And the Cocktail Hour definitely lived up to its name!
There was an impressive selection of various whiskies and wines.
I didn't want to get too tipsy,
so I just sampled a few of them (๑•᎑< ๑)

I also mixed up a cocktail of my own!
I followed the staff's recommended recipe,
and it turned out to be so sweet and delicious, without any bitter taste.
As for the food, the hot dishes were kept perfectly warm,
and the cold options—like the plump shrimp and olive-filled salads—
paired so beautifully with the wine ◡̈

The breakfast buffet had an amazing selection of pastries, and the fruits were so beautifully presented!
I kept going back for more of that heavenly Isigny butter 🥹
After wrapping up our trip with such a filling breakfast,
I felt like I truly got the absolute most out of this stay until the very last second!
I was beyond satisfied with the Executive Lounge package ്ദി,,-`_´-)
