📍 Waikiki Market
332 Maponaru-gil, Mapo-gu, Seoul, Waikiki Market
Waikiki Market, the Han River BBQ spot,
is, of course, right on the Han River!!
The closest subway stations are Mapo-gu Office Station and Mangwon Station.
Our group took a local bus from Hapjeong Station,
got off near the Han River, and walked the rest of the way.

Arrived at Waikiki Market!
With World Cup Bridge in the background,
it's perfectly situated for a panoramic view of the Han River.
2. How to Enjoy a Unique BBQ Date in Seoul

As you enter indoors, the counter is on the right,
where you can confirm your reservation and receive guidance.

Aside from the food included in the set,
anything else you might need can be purchased at the convenience store next to the counter.
Behind the partition, you'll find a wide variety of alcoholic drinks and beverages,
and there's even ice cream next to it! ♡

There are BBQ spots on both the 1st and 2nd floors,
and our group was assigned to the 2nd floor!
While not completely secluded,
the partitions are well-designed,
allowing you and your companions to enjoy a private experience at
Waikiki Market, your Seoul BBQ spot! 🌴

Enjoying this Han River view,
how amazing does it feel to eat BBQ? Seriously! ㅠ_ㅠ
Now that the weather has cleared up,
it would be perfect for a unique date in Seoul, wouldn't it? ><
3. Review of Waikiki Market, Han River BBQ Spot

Since our group loves to eat,
we even added sirloin to our Korean pork BBQ set! 🐽

Spreading out all the ingredients and getting ready for BBQ!!
When you order a meat set, it includes things to grill along with the BBQ, like mushrooms and shrimp,
plus kimchi and fresh ssam vegetables.
You REALLY just need to bring yourself!!!!!

The hardest part of having a BBQ is
lighting the charcoal,
but once you settle in, they bring the charcoal right over,
so you can start grilling the meat immediately.

We quickly finished off the beef,
and for the pork,
we loaded it up with all sorts of other ingredients and grilled them together! Heh.

There's even a plate warmed by a small candle,
so you can place your charcoal-grilled food on it
and eat it without it getting cold –
that's one of Waikiki Market's perks!
Given how windy it can get along the Han River,
it's truly touching that they even thought of providing something like this 🥹!

And since we came all the way to the Han River,
how could we skip out on Han River Ramyun, right?

After filling up on meat, enjoying ramyun as a carb-rich finish
while gazing at the Han River,
you wouldn't believe how delicious it is! 😋

They even gave us marshmallows as a service,
so we could roast them in a camping-like atmosphere,
adding a little extra fun to our experience ㅎㅅㅎ!
4. Fun Things to Do in Mapo-gu, Seoul: Han River Motorboat & Cotton Candy Machine Rental
What makes Waikiki Market, this Seoul BBQ spot, truly special?
You can experience making cotton candy with a cotton candy machine,
and even ride a motorboat or a yacht!
It's not just about the food;
with all this entertainment available,
it would be perfect for company workshops, friends' birthday parties,
club gatherings, or any group event! 🥰

The motorboat ride is originally ~$12 per person,
but for BBQ customers, there's a whopping 50% discount!
You can enjoy a speedy Han River experience for just ~$6!
How about a speedy Han River experience? ♡

It's not a large motorboat;
it's a private ride just for the driver and us, Bamkki and her husband,
totally private, haha!
We put on our life vests securely and hopped aboard!

Can you feel this sense of speed...?
LOL!
It was Bamkki's husband's first time on a motorboat,
so he was absolutely blown away by the speed, haha!
He held on so tight, making sure he wouldn't fall off, LOL!
The view from the river is definitely different from seeing it from the riverside,
and the Han River breeze was incredibly refreshing,
making for a fantastic reset 🍃🍃.
Now, it's truly dessert time!

It's not just about eating them;
you can rent a cotton candy machine and experience making your own cotton candy!
This is seriously so much fun, T_T_T_T!
Definitely add this to your plan and try it yourself!!!!

And cotton candy, enjoyed after a long while,
why does it taste so incredibly sweet...❤️
Highly recommend visiting soon, before it gets too hot!
