<Uijeongbu Island Castle Water Park>
Island Castle Water Park is a Gyeonggi-do water park
located in Uijeongbu, near Seoul,
making it easy to get to, whether by car or public transportation.
It's been super popular on Instagram for a while, so I was curious,

Island Castle Water Park Indoor Rides & Bade Pool
First, inside Island Castle Water Park, there's
a wave pool with waves up to 1.2m high !
It's calmer than the outdoor wave pool
and also long, making it suitable for
enjoying the wave pool with young children hehe.
There's also Adventure Play, a water play area for children,
and an indoor kids' pool for toddlers,
so little ones can have a blast hehe.
With water guns and mini slides,
it's a perfect spot for toddlers to elementary school kids 😆
On the other side, the bade pool had warm water ,
and it was great for enjoying hydro-massage or hot spring-like relaxation!
It's a good spot to come before or after playing in the outdoor water park
to relax your body hehe.
Island Castle Water Park Life Vest Rental
Before heading out to Island Castle's outdoor water park,
we came to rent life vests!
Children under 120cm tall
must wear a life vest,
and adults are also required to wear one in pools deeper than 1m.
The rental price for one life vest was ~$5 ,
In the past, if you added them as a KakaoTalk friend,
They gave me a free rental coupon, but
it seems like they don't do it anymore during peak season 😂
Island Castle Waterpark Outdoor Rides & Wave Pool Hot Tips
Finally, we made it out to the outdoor waterpark!
Island Castle Waterpark is often called
a waterpark in the heart of the city,
and it was fascinating to see apartments and roads nearby.
It was also much larger than I expected, which was great! 👍
There was a much larger version of what was in the indoor waterpark:
the Kids' Water Playground, Aqua Play , and
the Toddler Water Playground, Aqua Deck !
There are also slides you can ride freely,
and they're surprisingly tall, so even adults can enjoy them.
They're thrilling enough to be a blast! Haha.
Uijeongbu Island Castle Waterpark became famous
for one big reason: its outdoor wave pool! 😍
This wave pool, also known as Torrent River,
has seriously powerful waves ! Haha.
(Way stronger than Caribbean Bay or Ocean World!)
Especially around the corners, the waves
surge so high they almost spill over the edge.
It's so much fun that I'd give it first place among waterparks just for this!
Seriously, it was an absolute blast and incredibly exciting!!!
They even **provide tubes for free**, so just grab one and
enjoy the outdoor lazy river! (´▽`ʃ♡ƪ)
The rides at Island Castle Waterpark were also
super fun, so I rode them multiple times! ( •̀ ω •́ )✧
They're perfect for both kids and adults
who want to have an absolutely amazing time!
The **tube slide, where you ride down in a two-person tube**,
takes you through a dark, narrow, circular tunnel!
It's faster and longer than you'd expect,
making it perfect for a thrilling ride! ♪(´▽`)
The **Tornado Tantrum, a four-person tube ride**,
spins you around in a V-shaped tornado slide,
and the swirling up-and-down motion
made it even more fun for everyone! 😆
They also had the **Pro Bowl Slide, a body slide**,
which you ride without a tube, so it does
require a bit of courage! 😂
You zoom down, go through a tornado section in the middle,
spin around, and then drop straight down.
Lifeguards are always there to pull you out at the end! Haha.
If you're looking for **thrilling waterpark rides**,
I highly recommend the Pro Bowl Slide!
Beyond that, there were also many warm
themed outdoor hot tubs where I could unwind and relax! Hehe.
After all that splashing around, your body can get a bit stiff,
so it's great to warm up and loosen up here!
Uijeongbu Island Castle Waterpark Restaurant, Food Court & Must-Try Eats
At Island Castle Waterpark, all food and drinks
are prohibited from outside, so you have to buy and eat them at the restaurants!
However, bottled water, baby food, and special dietary meals are allowed.
The menu offered Chinese, 'bunsik' (Korean snack food), and Korean dishes,
plus snacks for a quick bite!
They also had beverages like soft drinks, beer, and draft beer,
and you pay by card at the kiosk.
After all that fun in the water, I was really craving a spicy broth,
so I ordered the Stir-fried Beef Jjamppong (spicy noodle soup), and it was absolutely delicious!
While the portions of noodles and meat weren't massive,
the broth was so spicy and flavorful – truly a great choice!
I noticed many people with kids were ordering Donkatsu (pork cutlet),
and it looked genuinely huge, so it seems like incredible value for money! 😉
We also shared some Sotteok Sotteok (skewered sausage and rice cakes), which is a perfect snack.
It was a great menu item to help us recharge our energy! Haha.
Island Castle Water Park: Toiletries & Hair Dryers
While the hot spring bath showers used to provide shampoo and body wash,
they now require you to **bring your own toiletries**,
so it's best to pack them!
However, **cream, cotton swabs, and hair dryers**
were still provided and available for free use! ✨
Uijeongbu Island Castle Water Park: Parking Hours & Free Parking
Parking at Uijeongbu Island Castle Water Park
can be self-registered, and you get **up to 15 hours**
of **free parking**!
Although the parking lot is spacious, they say it gets very crowded
on weekends or holidays, so you might want to go early
to ensure easy parking!
I visited on a rainy weekday,
and it wasn't very crowded,
so I could have even more fun! ❤️

The outdoor wave pool was incredibly high and so much fun,
