Udo Tour Pass Review 2026: Is It Worth Buying?

I just got back from Udo Island, and I definitely got my money's worth with the Udo Tour Pass.

I got four free coffees and free admission to top attractions!

But let me share one quick tip before we dive in.

If you're planning to visit Udo, try to go in April or May.

I visited during the height of summer.

While Udo itself is absolutely gorgeous, the summer heat made it tough to stay outdoors for long.

I'd find myself admiring the stunning ocean views, only to run into the nearest cafe to escape the humidity.

I wanted to take a long walk along the beach, but gave up because I was dripping with sweat.

In the spring, you can leisurely stroll along the coastal roads, enjoy a cool breeze on a cafe terrace with a coffee, and explore the Hundertwasser Park without breaking a sweat!

What is the Udo Tour Pass?

It's a bundled pass that gives you free entry or discounts at various cafes, restaurants, and activities across Udo Island.

Just show your barcode at participating cafes for free Americanos, ades, or free admission.

I stopped by three or four cafes, and since my drinks were free every time, the pass easily paid for itself.

Pricing Details

There are 12-hour and 24-hour passes available.

The timer starts from your very first use.

12-Hour Pass: Adult ~$8 / Youth ~$7 / Child ~$7

24-Hour Pass: Adult ~$10 / Youth ~$9 / Child ~$9

Combo Pass (12-Hour + Round-trip Ferry + Udo Submarine): Adult ~$32 / Youth ~$29 / Child ~$26

If you're doing a half-day trip, the 12-hour pass is plenty. If you want to ride the submarine, the Combo Pass is by far the best deal.

You can use it within 60 days of purchase, but refunds aren't allowed once you activate it at your first stop.

How to Catch the Ferry (Don't Get Lost!)

Departure: Seongsanpo Port Passenger Terminal

First Ferry: 07:00 AM (07:30 AM in winter)

Last Ferry: 6:00 PM – 6:30 PM (subject to change based on weather)

Interval: Approximately every 30 minutes

⚠️ A physical ID or passport is mandatory. You cannot board without it.

You'll need to fill out a boarding declaration form. Usually, you need 2 copies, but if you're using the Udo Pass, make sure to fill out 3 copies.

Also, the ticket booths are different!

If you're using the Udo Pass, do not line up at the general ticket booth. Go straight to the Yacht/Submarine ticket booth.

Knowing this will save you a ton of time.

Can You Bring a Rental Car?

Generally, no.

To protect the island's environment, rental cars are restricted from entering Udo.

Exceptions are made only if you are traveling with vulnerable passengers.

This includes children under 6, seniors over 65, pregnant women, or travelers with disabilities.

Jeju residents can bring cars for an extra fee,

but if you're using the pass, you must collect your passenger tickets first and then pay for the vehicle separately at the opposite window.

Honestly, renting an electric car or electric bike to cruise along the coastal road is the way to go.

Feeling the ocean breeze as you ride right next to the water is an experience unique to Udo.

My Recommended Half-Day Itinerary

A half-day is perfect if you rent an electric vehicle to zip around the coast.

1️⃣ Geommeolle Beach → Dalgrian Cafe

The view starting from the stairs down to Geommeolle Beach is absolutely breathtaking.

The black sand beach stretching below the majestic cliffs of Udo Peak looks surreal from above.

At the bottom, you'll find the Dongangyeonggul Sea Cave, which is perfect for photos and has an almost cinematic atmosphere.

Right next door is Dalgrian Cafe.

The panoramic view of Geommeolle Beach through its floor-to-ceiling windows is stunning.

With the Udo Pass, you get a free Americano (or a ~$1 discount on other drinks).

You absolutely have to try their signature peanut ice cream.

It's incredibly rich and delicious.

2️⃣ Hundertwasser Park

This is a whimsical theme park dedicated to the Austrian artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser.

The buildings are completely curved and colorful, making you feel like you've stepped straight into Europe.

You can view graphic artworks in the museum and enjoy views of Udo's coast and Seongsan Ilchulbong from the rooftop garden.

Look out for the "tree tenants" growing right out of the buildings!

It's an Instagrammer's dream. You could easily lose track of time here taking photos.

Best of all, entry is completely free with the Udo Pass.

This alone easily makes up for the cost of the pass itself.

3️⃣ Hamokdong Port Beach → Udo Sand & Udo Woo Bakery

This is where you'll find Udo's famous emerald-colored sea.

The Sanho (Coral) Beach is actually made of red algae nodules, making the sand look like crushed coral and the water look like Saipan.

The water is shallow, so it's perfect for wading, but even just sitting on the beach is incredibly healing.

After taking in the views, head over to the nearby cafes.

Udo Sand → Free ade with the pass.

Udo Woo Bakery → Free Americano with the pass. (They serve amazing peanut bread ice cream!).

Even without the pass, you can get a ~$1 discount at both spots.

Udo is a truly special escape within Jeju. The water is clearer, and the vibe is completely different.
