An unmissable gem of an island on your Jeju trip,
Udo (우도)!
This was my second time visiting Udo
since my university days.
So, instead of a day trip, I decided to stay overnight on Udo
and leisurely explore every corner of the island.

When heading to Udo, I took a ferry from Seongsanpo Port Passenger Terminal (성산포항 종합여객터미널)
and arrived at Haumokdong Port (하우목동항).

so I was able to legally bring my rental car over.

With a rental car, you can immediately unload your heavy luggage
at your accommodation and truly enjoy the tranquil sunset, the night sea
after the day-trippers have receded like the tide,
and a relaxing morning drive.
If you're planning an overnight stay, make sure to save your accommodation voucher.

When you get off the ferry, you'll find various
rental shops and bus stops right in front of the port.
Udo Village Circulation Bus (우도 마을 순환버스)
There's a tour bus that circles major tourist spots (Geommeolle (검멀레), Seobinbaeksa (서빈백사), Hagusudong (하고수동), etc.)

Seongsanpo Port Departure - Hahomokdong Port (하우목동항) Arrival Review
I heard that ferries departing from Seongsanpo Port usually alternate between Cheonjin Port (천진항) and Hahomokdong Port. This time, I arrived at Hahomokdong Port.

Ferry services usually run frequently, every 30 minutes, starting from around 7:30 AM to 8:00 AM.
The journey takes approximately 10-15 minutes.

After purchasing your ticket, follow the vehicle guiding lines, and staff members will direct you to reverse your car into the car ferry according to their signals.
You can stay in your car, but if you're prone to seasickness, it's generally recommended to get out and go up to the passenger deck.

❗When is the last ferry?
Whether you're on a day trip or leaving after an overnight stay, the last ferry departing from Udo (우도) to Seongsan (성산)
varies depending on the season and sunset time.
Typically, it changes between 5 PM and 6:30 PM.
We recommend checking the last ferry time for your departure date in advance.

Thanks to bringing our rental car with us,
we comfortably explored Hagosudong Beach (하고수동 해수욕장),
Geommeolle Beach (검멀레 해변), and even Biyangdo (비양도) with our luggage left in the car
before heading to our accommodation.
It was a fantastic overnight trip to Udo, with even the weather being perfect!
In the next post, I'll thoroughly share the activities I did in Udo,
along with recommended accommodations and great restaurants.
