Recently, Uam Historic Park
has even started night openings,
allowing you to enjoy walks
not only during the day,
but also at night.
The park scenery, enhanced with lights,
creates a completely different atmosphere than during the day,
so it's also a great idea to visit in the evening
and enjoy a leisurely stroll.
3. Plum Blossom Bloom Rate
As of my visit (March 24, 2026),
the plum blossoms were 70-80% in bloom.
Certain sections
were almost in full bloom,
meaning overall,
it's still a beautiful time to visit right now.
With the warm weather this week,
the blossoms are opening up quickly.
The yellow cornelian cherry blossoms
have already reached full bloom
and are starting to fade slightly,
so it's a good idea to visit soon.
Meanwhile, the magnolias
are still in their bud stage,
so they seem to need
a bit more time.
Right now is the perfect time to see the beautiful plum blossoms + cornus flowers,
and next week,
it looks like the magnolias will be in full bloom.
4. Plum Blossom Hotspots
Uam Historic Park isn't about finding just one 'perfect' spot!
It's more like, as you stroll along,
lovely scenes just keep unfolding
around every corner.
So, rather than actively searching for a specific spot,
I found it was much better to simply walk slowly
and take it all in.
As you venture further into the park,
the first place that catches your eye is
the area around Namganjeongsa.
The pavilion, the plum blossoms,
and the flowing water—
this combination creates an atmosphere that's surprisingly
truly wonderful.
Walk a little further,
and you'll find a section of plum blossoms that continues along a stone wall path.
Rather than being overtly dazzling,
this spot has a strong sense of tranquil charm,
so if you walk slowly and observe it,
you'll feel its charm even more.
Especially the plum blossoms blooming next to the wall—
if you look closely,
they're even prettier.
And another spot that's surprisingly easy to miss is
the area around the pond.
On calm days,
you can see the plum blossoms reflected beautifully in the water,
making it a great spot for taking
atmospheric photos.
On the day I visited,
there were people doing photoshoots,
and the combination of Hanbok (traditional Korean attire) + plum blossoms + Hanok (traditional Korean house)
was just so incredibly beautiful.
Venturing further inside,
you'll also discover the beautiful harmony
of traditional Hanok buildings and delicate plum blossoms.

It was truly an incredible place
to experience exactly this kind of spring.

at their most exquisite,
and in just a little while,
magnolias
