I think it was in June...
When Namjoon and Yoongi at Tilt,
RM's and Agust D's sessions
were added as Main Artist Listening sessions ‼️
Someone quick on the uptake discovered it
and shared their review, which became a huge topic of conversation,
and everyone was frantically trying to book reservations for Tilt,,
Why do I live in the provinces..?
It's truly upsetting when cool things like this are only available in Seoul...
(So I solved it at Haegyeol in Jeonju)
Anyway,
starting with RM and Agust D,
the owner really knew how to strike while the iron's hot,
They're absolutely crushing it...
Of course, there's demand for it, so they're consistently providing supply,
(Because I love BTS...)
Anyway, starting with those two members,
they even opened sessions for J-Hope, V, Jimin, and Jungkook.
And I thought, 'Next must be Seokjin (Jin), right?' but then
suddenly Map of the Soul,,,
I was a little bummed, but
since they announced Seokjin's session would open at the end of July,
I had to agree and visited~~~~
(Was that too much TMI before we even started?
Well, that's why it's TMI!)

Cross the large crosswalk at Hongdae AK Plaza,
walking towards Yeonnam-dong
along Yanghwa-ro, you'll see
Danseokga Chalbori Sogeumppang (Chewy Barley Salt Bread) on your right,
enter the alley,
and you'll immediately spot Tilt!
Experimenting with the sense of listening,
a sound curation space,
a unique music space.
With modern audio systems
and music enjoyed from different angles,
Tilt pursues differentiation, breaking down genre boundaries.

Running 7 programs,
including Oasis, Coldplay, Radiohead, Muse, etc.,
there were many other programs to listen to besides BTS,
but I found out a bit late.
Jimin : Face & Muse
Jin : The Warmth of Rock
Of course, I was meeting friends too, but
my main reason for coming to Seoul was Tilt.
With a round-trip KTX train ticket,
it felt too wasteful to only do one session,
so I also booked Jimin's session, which was right before Seokjin's.
The session after Seokjin's was Jungkook's,
and then even the Arirang Atmos session.
Some ARMYs even powered through 4 consecutive sessions,
but I just didn't have the time...
The previous session must have just finished,
as people were pouring out,
and I thought I entered pretty quickly,
but it was already full of people.
Tilt's Interior Vibe
After admission and identity verification,
you can order one drink
(Included in the admission fee)
Because there were so many people waiting,
I couldn't take a full shot of the space.
There must be a set number of reservations per time slot,
but ordering and receiving drinks takes quite a while,
and the staff were saying that ordering tea is faster.
They said this,
which I took to mean, 'If you order coffee, you'll have to wait a long time,
so is that okay..?'
And the coffee beans were sold out,
so only decaf options were available..
(Speechless)
Even the entrance has a waiting area,
and they explained that this is where the Tilt experience officially begins.
They provided a detailed explanation of the space,
... though I must admit, I don't quite remember all the details!
Two entrances lead you inside.
It looks like there are easily over 40 people here.
My mind can't help but wonder, "How much did all this cost...?" as I try to estimate the total.
Just my inner accountant at work!
ㅋㅋㅋㅋLOL, and even though we didn't plan it,
I ended up meeting so many Twitter friends during Seokjin's session!
It truly felt like a designated meeting spot for Seokjin stans, haha!ㅋㅋㅋㅋ
The first session was "Jimin's Face & Muse."
A brief introduction to the space,
an explanation about the acoustics,
and a description of the artist Jimin
where his face and inspiration meet.
Of course, there's no need to introduce Jimin to ARMYs! ^^;
After a few quick remarks, the listening session officially began!
In my personal opinion,
I think information about the space
could be replaced with a brochure,
allowing them to play one or two more songs during that time.
While photo and video recording are allowed inside,
I found myself so deeply immersed in the music...
I didn't even have time to pick up my phone!

Anyway, Jimin's session felt like it flew by and ended all too soon.
It truly showcased Jimin's journey of healing his anxieties through music.
With one session under my belt,
I made sure to enter quickly for the next Seokjin session!
They mentioned that the sound resonance and delivery vary in different parts of the space,
so for Seokjin's session,
I tried sitting in the most popular spot.
I initially thought we'd just plop down on the floor,
but thankfully, they seemed to consider our "social status" and "dignity" (haha!),
because cushions were provided!
Vibrations on the tunnel (corridor) floor,
and 13 speakers in the main space — pure auditory bliss!
7 main speakers
LFE subwoofers,
a 7.1.4 system made up of 4 ceiling speakers.
The sound produced by the Dolby Atmos 7.1.4 system
moves in all directions — front, back, left, right, up, and down —
creating a natural and immersive environment for visitors.
That's why they even encouraged us to change seats,
as long as it didn't disturb anyone.
I even passed the time counting the speakers while waiting for Seokjin's session to begin!

Since so many people tend to get emotional and openly sob during Seokjin's songs (haha!),
they mentioned they slightly adjusted the setlist and song order.
Throughout the session, I was flooded with memories of Run Seokjin,
feeling excited one moment and choked up the next.
And when "Rope it" came on,
all the ARMYs at Tilt raised their hands and swayed!
(You just can't resist "Rope it"... seriously!)
While it was filled with wonderful songs in an amazing space,
Tilt still had a few slightly questionable points.

The ARMY girls, who shared their worries too
Even though we couldn't attend Jungkook's Atmos session,
we still managed to have a fantastic time,
feasting on Nurungji Tongdak,
having fun with blind boxes at POP MART,
and then hitting up our favorite cafe in Hongdae (Two Some Place) lol,
where we even devoured a whole cake!
It was such a wonderfully happy time.
So happy to be ARMY!
Tilt is located on the B1 level at 10 Yeonhui-ro 1-gil, Mapo-gu, Seoul. To get there, cross the large crosswalk in front of Hongdae AK Plaza, walk along Yanghwa-ro towards Yeonnam-dong, and you'll see it immediately after turning into the alley with Danseokga Chalbori Salt Bread on your right.
Tilt operates daily from 13:00 to 23:00. You can participate in your desired session by making a reservation in advance via Naver Booking. Each session lasts approximately 75 minutes.
Tilt's main space is equipped with a 7.1.4 system consisting of 13 speakers. Seven main speakers, an LFE subwoofer, and four ceiling speakers create moving sounds from all directions: front, back, left, right, up, and down.
Tilt hosted sessions for RM, Agust D, J-Hope, V, Jimin, Jungkook, and Jin. Notably, during Jin's session, there were many visitors who cried, leading to some changes in the setlist composition and order.
