Takeros Magok Review 2026: Signature Mexican Set Feast

Looking for a vibrant spot for a date night or a delicious meal in Seoul's Magok district? My partner and I recently ventured out, craving something unique and flavorful, especially with the weather warming up. We stumbled upon a true gem right in front of Magok Station: Takeros Magok Main Branch!

Finding Takeros is a breeze! It's conveniently located on the second floor of the GMG Tower, a hub for eateries, right by Magok Station Exit 3. Just look for the building with a Starbucks on the first floor. Plus, they offer a fantastic perk: two hours of complimentary parking for diners!

From the moment you step in, Takeros immerses you in an authentic American-Mexican vibe, thanks to its bold, red-accented entrance. It really sets the mood!

As for hours, they're open from 11:30 AM to 9:30 PM, Tuesday through Sunday, making it a perfect spot for lunch or dinner. (Just a heads-up, they're closed on Mondays for a regular day off).

Their menu boasts a fantastic lineup of classic Mexican dishes, from savory quesadillas and hearty pork ribs to sizzling fajitas.

We made a reservation and were happily seated in a cozy booth with plush sofas, perfect for a relaxed meal!

One thing I loved was the open kitchen concept – you can watch the chefs expertly prepare your food in real-time! Ordering is super convenient too; just scan the QR code to order at your table.

Takeros Magok Menu Highlights

Takeros offers some incredibly well-composed set menus. We opted for the Takeros Signature Couple Set, priced at a reasonable ~$41.

This fantastic spread includes your choice of either a generous Fajita or their succulent Texas BBQ Pork Ribs (with a small additional charge of ~$4 for the ribs), plus two delicious tacos.

What truly impressed us was that the nacho chips, tortillas, and cheese dip are all freely refillable!

The only extra charge is for guacamole, which is just ~$2.

Takeros goes the extra mile to make your visit special, especially for couples! They offer a free mini cheesecake for anniversaries, polaroid photo ops, and even a fun capsule draw – definitely a spot I'd recommend for a memorable date!

To kick things off, a basket of crispy nacho chips arrives, perfectly paired with a creamy cheese dip – an ideal appetizer!

And, since many of their delicious dishes are hands-on, they thoughtfully provide disposable plastic gloves and wet wipes, which is a lifesaver.

The **Signature Set** truly impressed with its generous portions and vibrant presentation!

The fajita, in particular, was a feast for the eyes and the palate. It featured four incredible main toppings: juicy grilled chicken, succulent shrimp, and two distinct types of savory carnitas. These were perfectly complemented by lightly seasoned bell peppers and onions, all sizzling together!

Alongside the fajita, we received a spread of five delightful sauces: a rich meat chili sauce, zesty jalapeños, creamy sour cream, fresh diced tomatoes, and, of course, guacamole. Plus, the complimentary cheese sauce added another layer of flavor.

The best part? All sauces, except for the guacamole, are unlimited refills, so you can customize your wraps to your heart's content!

Personally, I loved the combination of a little cheese sauce, jalapeños, tomatoes, and sour cream – absolutely delicious! 😋

And for an extra pleasant surprise, we discovered a layer of flavorful fried rice hidden beneath all the toppings, making sure we left completely satisfied.

The two tacos included in our set were a Chicken Taco and a Fish Taco. Both were generously sized, overflowing with fresh vegetables and ample toppings – truly satisfying!

The fish taco was drizzled with a tangy tartar sauce, while the chicken taco had a creamy cheese sauce. Both featured their main ingredients lightly battered and fried to a perfect crisp, adding a delightful crunch to every bite!

For extra zest, the table was stocked with classic taco joint essentials: Heinz jalapeño ketchup and hot sauce.

I'd never tried jalapeño ketchup before, but it was surprisingly good! It offered the familiar sweetness of ketchup with a subtle, pleasant kick of jalapeño, making it both unique and incredibly tasty.

Don't forget to check for their receipt review event! If you leave a review, you can score a delicious dessert of Nutella tortilla chips and ice cream. We skipped it this time as we had plans for a separate cafe visit, but it's a fantastic way to end your meal right there!

As you leave, you can also grab a Chupa Chups lollipop, and if your bill is over ~$44, you get a chance at a 'no-lose' capsule draw!

Takeros truly makes dining an entertaining experience from start to finish. If you're in Magok and craving authentic Mexican food or delicious tacos, I wholeheartedly recommend it! That fajita was so good, I'm already planning my next visit to try it with an added quesadilla. 😋
