It's almost shocking how hard it is to find truly delicious Jjajangmyeon these days, but prepare to be amazed!
Here, you can savor truly exquisite Jjajangmyeon and Tangsuyuk. And get this – all for an incredible price of just ~$4!!!!!!
Its convenient location, just a stone's throw from the Ambassador Seoul Pullman Hotel, makes it perfect if you're staying in Jung-gu.
You can easily slip out for a perfect brunch!
Taehwaru in Jangchung-dong closes on public holidays and weekends,
and even on weekdays, it’s only open from 11 AM to 3:30 PM.
You can only visit during lunchtime, and even then, be prepared!
If you don't time your visit just right, you might face a wait or even miss out on this incredible experience.
It seems they make their noodles fresh in-house, as evidenced by the flour sacks
stacked nearby.
We had no idea this Chinese restaurant was such a hot spot,
just thinking, 'Oh, we're hungry, this looks delicious!'
Thankfully, after a mere 10-20 minute wait,
we were able to step inside and savor Taehwaru's legendary Jjajangmyeon and Tangsuyuk!
Feast your eyes on the perfectly fresh onions and pickled radish!
And at Taehwaru in Jangchung-dong, you absolutely, unequivocally, MUST
order this Tangsuyuk, no matter what happens!
It's not overly sweet, nor is it bland;
it's perfectly balanced in sweetness, and while it doesn't offer the 'dip-or-pour' debate (the sauce is already on!),
it remains perfectly crispy,
and that incredible sauce, adorned with cabbage, completely envelops the Tangsuyuk,
adding a delightful, savory sweetness that's simply irresistible.
Seriously, this Tangsuyuk is out of this world! It's beyond delicious...
Honestly, so many Chinese restaurants these days serve such disappointing Tangsuyuk that it's been a genuine heartbreak with every bite, but not here!
Here, the meat has absolutely no gamey smell,
it's just incredibly, incredibly tasty,
and that sauce, with its subtly integrated cabbage and vegetables, is genuinely
so unique and utterly, utterly delicious.
The Jjajangmyeon is also incredibly delicious.
It's no wonder people line up for this place every single day!
To be honest, the Tangsuyuk was so mind-blowingly good that I almost forgot about the Jjajangmyeon for a moment,
but Taehwaru's Jjajang in Jung-gu was absolutely fantastic too!
If you're traveling in Korea and eager to try authentic Korean-style Chinese cuisine, then look no further!
You absolutely have to visit!
