Sura Gimbap Daechi-dong Review 2026: Seoul's Hidden Gem
Uncover Daechi-dong's best-kept secret: Sura Gimbap. This local eatery in the Eunma Apartment complex serves up delicious, high-quality gimbap at local prices. A true Seoul hidden gem!
For an authentic taste of K-Gimbap,
this spot is located in one of Korea's most renowned apartment complex shopping centers.
You'll find this fantastic gimbap shop within the Eunma Apartment Complex arcade in Daechi-dong,
just a short walk from Daechi Station Exit 3.

Unlike typical tourist attractions,
the shops here are beloved by the affluent residents of Gangnam,
offering everything from gimbap and sushi to 'chimaek' (fried chicken and beer) at incredibly reasonable prices
without compromising on quality.
The closest hotel option is
the ibis Styles Ambassador Seoul Gangnam.
Situated between Seolleung Station and Samseong Station,
it offers fantastic access to Gangnam, Samseong, and COEX.
From there, it’s about a 5-10 minute drive straight ahead
to reach the Eunma Apartment complex.
You'll discover much more delicious food at a far better price
than at most tourist destinations or famous markets.
Since these shops cater to the local residents,
you won't have to worry about inflated tourist prices!

The exact location is
on the 1st floor, near Entrance 6 of Block B in the Eunma Arcade.
It's very close to Daechi Station Exit 3.
Look for the Eunma General Shopping Center sign, which sometimes has a Korean flag (Taegeukgi) displayed,
and you'll find it next to the real estate mart.
It's also conveniently located across from Mido Apartments.
📍 Sura Gimbap
102, B-dong, Sangga-dong, 212 Samseong-ro, Gangnam-gu, Seoul
Even on Naver Maps, this is how it appears,
so it's best to remember "1st floor, directly above Entrance 6, Block B."

Operating hours are 10:00 AM to 7:30 PM on weekdays
Saturdays from 10:30 AM to 6:00 PM
Break time is from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM

The menu offers a variety, including the classic Sura Gimbap,
Wasabi Fish Cake, Tuna, Cheese, Dried Pollack,
and Soy-Marinated Pork Gimbap.
However, I always find myself ordering just the Sura Gimbap.
While I always intend to try their Tteokbokki,
the gimbap just keeps calling me back.

This place genuinely makes me wonder if someone living in Daechi-dong,
after raising their children, decided to pursue their dream,
got a Korean cooking license, and opened this gimbap shop...
The flavors perfectly capture the distinct taste of this neighborhood, the 'Daechi palate.'
*
I haven't lived in Daechi myself, but...
I somehow recognize that 'Daechi taste':
Healthy, high-quality ingredients with a clean flavor profile.
A taste that even young children would enjoy!
A flavor that remains consistently excellent over time,
where they'd rather raise prices than compromise on ingredients!
Plus, it only opened around 2025...
(Locals know the Eunma reconstruction isn't happening overnight, haha!)
They'll likely operate here for another 3-4 years (until around 2028-2029),
and even if they relocate after the Eunma reconstruction,
I'm sure their loyal customers will follow this gimbap hotspot!

Look at the vibrant fillings of the Sura Gimbap, priced at just ~$4!
It feels like high-quality ingredients are perfectly arranged and rolled.
The colors are beautiful,
and it's a healthy, non-overpowering taste for ~$4!
These days, many 'premium' gimbap rolls go for ~$4-5,
so this is quite affordable in comparison.

When I'm thinking about dieting and want something light,
eating just one roll makes me feel like I've successfully stuck to my diet.

But even on a diet, I can't resist a warm broth!
Which is probably why my diet never seems to work, haha!

I wish I had tried more variety,
but I just keep going back for the gimbap ^^;;

It's so perfectly clean and delicious that I don't even want to venture out and try other places.
If you're ever in the Daechi-dong area, I highly recommend Sura Gimbap!
