On a recent business trip to Seoul (서울), I found myself needing a convenient and comfortable place to stay. My itinerary involved visits to both Gangnam (강남) and Yongsan (용산), making Sadang (사당) the perfect central hub for easy transit between locations. I opted for a one-night stay at SR Hotel Sadang (SR호텔 사당), a spot conveniently located near Sadang Station.
I was pleasantly surprised by its proximity to the station, the cleanliness of the room, and the excellent soundproofing, especially since it's right in front of a bustling Eatery Alley. It made for a very comfortable overnight stay.
Here’s my full review of the Deluxe Double room at SR Hotel Sadang!
Location
📍 SR Hotel Sadang
15 Dongjak-daero 1-gil, Dongjak-gu, Seoul, South Korea

The hotel is incredibly easy to find, located just about 164 feet (50 meters) from Exit 8 of Sadang Station. Step out of the exit, and you're practically at the entrance of the bustling Eatery Alley.
Traveling solo, I was initially concerned about staying in an isolated area, but this spot was far from it. With plenty of foot traffic, I felt completely at ease. The short walk from the station to the hotel was a major plus, especially after a long day.

Despite being right in the middle of a lively dining district, the room's soundproofing was excellent. I barely noticed any outside noise, which was a huge relief.
Parking is available, but I traveled by public transport (a 'walker,' as we say in Korea!).
Check-in

Check-in was managed via a self-service kiosk. This typically requires ID verification. However, I had recently lost my wallet and only had a temporary ID.
Thankfully, a staff member was at the counter and was able to assist me, allowing me to get my room key without any hassle!
If you encounter any issues with the self-check-in, or if you need assistance like I did, don't hesitate to ask the staff at the counter.

Access to the elevators requires a card key, and the room door had an additional latch on the inside. These security features were a major reason I felt so safe and secure staying alone.
The Room: Deluxe Double

After an early start and a long day of travel, I was exhausted when I finally entered the room. It was pleasantly spacious, offering plenty of room for one person.

The shower area and a large TV were located at the foot of the bed. The TV looked to be about 50 inches!
Even better, you can enjoy Netflix and YouTube directly from the TV!

Next to the bed, there was a mini-fridge and a coffee maker. The fridge conveniently contained two complimentary bottles of water.

The bed came with four pillows: two softer, lower pillows and two firmer, higher ones. As someone with a disk issue, I really appreciated being able to choose the most comfortable option.
The room's size and prime location make it an excellent choice for business travelers, and it’s equally comfortable for solo travelers like myself looking for an overnight stay!
Bathroom

The shower and toilet were thoughtfully separated. While not a huge deal for a solo traveler, this setup would be very convenient for two people, allowing one to shower while the other uses the toilet.

There was even a separate bathtub, perfect for a relaxing soak. Despite booking for one person, the room was well-stocked with four towels!

One of my favorite features of the room was the private outdoor terrace!
It was lovely to step out for some fresh air and enjoy a cup of coffee without having to leave the hotel.
Breakfast

With an early start planned for the next day, I also took advantage of the hotel's breakfast.
The spread included a variety of options like salad, eggs, sausages, potato salad, and fresh bread. It was perfect for a light, quick meal before starting my busy day.
The ambiance of the breakfast area was also incredibly charming! 👍
Located approximately 164 feet (50 meters) from Sadang Station Exit 8, the accessibility of SR Hotel Sadang is unbeatable, and the rooms are quite spacious.
With separate shower and toilet facilities, robust card-key security, and a convenient breakfast option, it proved to be an incredibly comfortable spot for my business trip and overnight stay.
Navigating between Yongsan and Gangnam was a breeze, and even for someone like me who can get easily lost, finding my way to and from the hotel was straightforward and stress-free!
If you're looking for a conveniently located hotel in Seoul or a comfortable solo stay for a business trip, I highly recommend SR Hotel Sadang!
