The rooms are clean and spacious,
and with weekend rates starting from around ~$55,
it was such an affordable and perfect place
to truly relax.
I'll share details about its location, pricing, and my stay experience,

1. How Do I Make a Reservation?
As a Trip Holic supporter for Yeogi Eottae
(a popular Korean booking platform), I was able to get a better discount
there than on other sites, so I booked through Yeogi Eottae.
Sowon Hotel by Aneuk Sangbong, a fantastic value stay in Jungnang-gu,
can be booked on platforms like Yeogi Eottae and Yanolja.
The lowest prices can vary depending on your membership level and available coupons on each channel,
so I recommend comparing both!

2. What Kinds of Rooms Are Available?
Sowon Hotel offers various room types,
including Standard, Deluxe, Byulchaetang (Annex Bath) Package, and Suites.
While the regular Standard and Deluxe rooms
don't come with a separate jacuzzi, the Byulchaetang (Annex Bath) package
and Suite rooms do, allowing for a truly relaxing escape.
Aneuk is a brand I personally adore.
The reason? Their theme is "Healing in the City" and "Ryokan in the City,"
so depending on the room type, you can enjoy a jacuzzi
and truly unwind.
3. My Booking Experience
I booked a "walk-in special" type,
which meant I received a random room
upon arrival.

As I tend to drink a lot of water overnight,
I grabbed some and headed for the elevator, only to realize...
The individual bath room, which includes a private spa,
was located in room 101.
I was so satisfied this time that I'm already thinking about trying a jacuzzi room on my next visit!
Sowon Hotel is an accommodation in Jungnang-gu,
branded as a "Ryokan in Seoul."
The interior design, from the hallways to the doors, truly exudes a Japanese feel,
making it feel like I was on a wonderful trip!
And the moment I stepped into the room,
a wonderfully spacious bed immediately caught my eye.
Actually, I visited this place because my sibling recommended it,
and the key reason was their "cervical pillow"!
Of course, cozy bedding is a given, but this pillow truly made a good night's sleep just drift in effortlessly.
At home, my pillow is so uncomfortable that I always struggle to sleep,
and my posture never allows for proper fatigue recovery. But here, I genuinely had the most amazing, deep sleep!
Beyond that, the sense of space here truly felt expansive.
The floor features tatami-style mats, while the bed is Western-style,
and a small table is conveniently placed right next to it.
On the table, you'll find a kettle and teacups, perfect for enjoying a traditional tea ceremony or simply a relaxing cup of tea.
There's also another table in front of the bed,
and beneath it, a small refrigerator stocked with three bottles of water.
Combined with the two bottles I picked up from the first floor, I had a total of five bottles to last me the night!
Next to the table, you'll find a cozy shower robe,
so no worries if you forget your pajamas!
Now, let's explore the toilet and bathroom areas.
Strictly speaking, it's not a completely separate toilet and bath,
but rather a layout where they are conveniently located right next to each other.
However, a small opaque door does provide a nice sense of separation!
What truly satisfied me personally
was definitely the bathtub!
It was incredibly deep and wonderfully spacious,
easily accommodating two adults, which made it incredibly comfortable.
If you have any bath bombs at home, definitely bring them along,
it looks absolutely perfect for a relaxing soak!
As I mentioned before, disposable amenities like toothbrushes and toothpaste
are provided for a fee (as is increasingly common),
however, reusable items like shampoo, body wash, body lotion,
toner, and emulsion are conveniently placed in the bathroom.
Beyond that, you'll find a hairdryer and an X-dome
comb conveniently placed on the sink in the shower room.
The hairdryer's power was quite strong, but
it seemed like the charging port had become a bit loose
from repeated use by many guests.
The airflow would occasionally cut out.
And finally, the towels.
They provided a generous supply of two large towels, three small towels,
and even one specifically for drying your feet. It was really satisfying to have so many options
for showering and washing up.
