Sono Belle Jeju Review 2026: Family Twin Ondol Room
Looking for the perfect family resort near Hamdeok Beach? Read our honest review of the Family Twin Ondol Room at Sono Belle Jeju, steps from the ocean.
My mother, sister, and I recently took a wonderful
4-day, 3-night getaway to beautiful Jeju Island.
Since our itinerary focused on
soaking up the sun on Jeju's eastern beaches,
we spent a lot of time searching for
the perfect base on the east side.
We finally booked the Family Twin Ondol (Clean Type) Room
at Sono Belle Jeju,
and we were absolutely thrilled with our choice.
Here is why Sono Belle Jeju is highly recommended:
📌 Just a 40-minute drive from Jeju International Airport, making it super accessible.
📌 Literally a 1-minute walk to the stunning Hamdeok Beach!
📌 Only a 15-minute drive to the trendy, crystal-clear Gimnyeong Beach.
If you want to fully experience the beauty of Jeju's coastal gems, this location is hard to beat!

When you park and walk straight in, the lobby feels like the ground floor, but it is actually the 4th floor! Keep that in mind so you don't get turned around.
On the 3rd floor, you'll find the women's sauna, while the men's sauna and the main breakfast restaurant are located on the 1st floor.
📌 Note that Sono Belle Jeju does not have an outdoor swimming pool—only saunas. However, with the ocean literally at your doorstep, we preferred swimming in the sea anyway!

The resort consists of Towers A, B, and C. Towers A and B are the main buildings housing the lobby and key amenities, while Tower C is the newer wing dedicated to "Clean" (non-cooking) rooms.
Because we booked the Family Twin Ondol Clean Room, we were assigned to Tower C.

The room layout features a living area with twin beds, a separate traditional Korean Ondol room, and a bathroom.
It is the perfect size for 3 to 4 travelers to share comfortably.
While you can feel a bit of the resort's age, everything was exceptionally clean and well-maintained.

The twin beds were incredibly comfortable, with crisp, clean linens.

Even though cooking isn't allowed in the Clean rooms, the dining table was more than spacious enough for enjoying local takeout or delivery in the evenings.

Opposite the beds, you'll find a wall-mounted TV and a vanity. The sink is situated outside the bathroom, which makes getting ready in the morning much more convenient.

Basic essentials like plates, cups, an electric kettle, scissors, and cutlery are provided, making light meals and snacks a breeze.

Right next to the vanity, there is a handy drying rack—perfect for hanging up wet swimsuits after a fun day at Hamdeok Beach.

The traditional Ondol room offers plenty of open floor space. If you are traveling with toddlers or young children, choosing this style of room is a safer and highly comfortable option.
The traditional floor mattresses (yo) provided were surprisingly thick and plush!

The bathroom features a clean glass partition separating the toilet from the shower area. Hygiene standards were top-notch with absolutely no damp odors.

They also provided plenty of fresh towels, which was extremely convenient for our group.

In the evening, we took a stroll around the resort grounds. The beautifully lit palm trees gave the entire property a wonderfully exotic, tropical resort vibe.
With its close proximity to the east coast's best beaches, Sono Belle Jeju is an incredible choice for a family vacation!
