Sofitel Ambassador Seoul Review 2026: Prestige Family Suite, Pool & Breakfast
Planning a bridal shower or family getaway in Seoul? Discover the luxurious Sofitel Ambassador Seoul Prestige Family Suite, stunning Seokchon Lake views, gourmet breakfast, and award-winning pool. Book your French-chic stay!

For my friend’s bridal shower, we booked the incredible Prestige Family Suite at Sofitel Ambassador Seoul.
From the breathtaking Seokchon Lake views to our fun (and slightly chaotic) bridal shower experience, I’m excited to share our honest, self-funded review!
Sofitel Ambassador Seoul:
Prestige Family Suite

First off, Sofitel Ambassador Seoul is a stunning hotel featuring 403 rooms, including 59 luxurious suites.
They offer a variety of room types, but for our three-person bridal shower staycation, we opted for the spacious Prestige Family Suite.

Since it was a surprise party, we were so busy setting up right after check-in that I didn't manage to snap photos of the pristine room. 😅
With a generous size of 753 square feet (70㎡), the suite offers ample space, and the living area even includes a comfortable sofa bed, which was perfect for an extra guest.
True to its name, the Prestige Family Suite is ideal for a relaxing staycation for 3-4 friends or a family! :)

On a side note, preparing a bridal shower with just two people was surprisingly intense! We rushed to pick up a cake from Lotte Hotel, then stopped at Daiso for a balloon pump. We allotted an hour and a half, but it felt like we barely had enough time!
We worked hard setting everything up, only for the 'E' balloon to deflate while we waited for the bride-to-be. So frustrating! 🥲
It was already taped in place, so there was no way to re-inflate it...

As a new hotel that opened in 2021 as the first Sofitel brand in Asia, the room condition was absolutely superb.
The Seokchon Lake view from our room was particularly stunning, and I think the ability to enjoy the lake view from the rooms, breakfast area, and even the pool is one of Sofitel's most captivating features!

After a whirlwind of photos, our bride-to-be finally collapsed in exhaustion!
Near the entrance, there was a round table that could seat up to four people, which was perfect for enjoying snacks or simply chatting.

For dinner, we ventured out to BOGIL, a Japanese restaurant nearby that we had been wanting to try.
We indulged in delicious unagi don (eel rice bowl) and kaisendon (seafood rice bowl)!

With plenty of great restaurants and lovely walking paths around Seokchon Lake, I highly recommend taking a leisurely stroll out for dinner. 😉

The bathroom was located inside the bedroom.
It had a clean, marble-inspired interior and two sinks, which made it incredibly convenient for multiple people.

Sofitel Ambassador Seoul Breakfast

Breakfast is served at Fait Maison on the 4th floor.
Breakfast hours vary between weekdays and weekends.
From here, you can enjoy the Seokchon Lake view from a slightly lower vantage point, which also has its own unique charm! :)

Given that Sofitel emphasizes a French-chic concept,
the breakfast buffet truly excelled in its Western offerings and bakery selection.
My friends and I found it perfectly suited to our tastes and were very satisfied. However, if you prefer Korean or Chinese cuisine, you might find it a bit hit or miss.

What we particularly loved was the much wider variety of egg station menus compared to typical hotel breakfast buffets!
We enjoyed trying various egg dishes, including Eggs Benedict, egg custard, and Eggs in Hell.

Sofitel Ambassador Seoul Pool
Honestly, since we were there for a bridal shower, we didn't get to use many of the hotel facilities.
But then I heard that the Sofitel pool was ranked among the TOP 5 Best Hotel Pools in Asia by the 2025 Travel+Leisure Luxury Awards!
So, after breakfast and before checking out, we decided to squeeze in a quick visit to the pool!

The Sofitel pool is located on the 16th floor, and with its floor-to-ceiling glass windows, the natural light was absolutely incredible.
Naturally, it also offered stunning views overlooking Seokchon Lake! :)
Visiting in the morning before checkout meant our time was limited,
but it was wonderful to enjoy a peaceful swim with hardly anyone else around!

There was also a wonderfully warm outdoor jacuzzi.
The jacuzzi was much larger than those at typical hotel pools, so we actually spent more time there than in the main swimming pool!

Sofitel's pool hours also differ between weekdays and weekends.
On weekdays, you can use the pool freely from 6 AM to 10 PM, excluding cleaning times. However,
on weekends, usage is limited to one session per day and requires a prior reservation for specific time slots, so keep that in mind!

There was even a separate area for foot baths.
If we had more time, we would have definitely enjoyed the foot bath, but we had to head down for checkout, so we missed out on that.
Thanks to the stunning views everywhere you look, our one-night stay at Sofitel Ambassador truly felt intertwined with Seokchon Lake. 😌
If you're looking to experience French elegance and a luxurious hotel stay in Jamsil, I wholeheartedly recommend it!
