When you visit The Shilla Seoul, you absolutely can't miss the Pastry Boutique on the first floor!

As a hotel that truly excels in its bread and dessert offerings, I make it a point to stop by every time I'm here.

Today, I'm excited to share the latest cake selections and their prices from my recent staycation.

Getting There

After passing through the main lobby waiting area on the first floor of The Shilla Seoul,

head to the right down the hallway where you'll see art by Lee Bae,

and you'll find The Shilla Seoul Pastry Boutique!

It's open from 7 AM to 10 PM daily,

and customers who make a purchase receive 1 hour of complimentary parking at The Shilla Seoul.

Prices

Full-sized cakes are typically in the ~$51 to ~$73 range,

and their Mango Cake, available only during mango season alongside their famous Mango Bingsu (shaved ice dessert), is particularly well-known.

You can view cake ingredients and descriptions on The Shilla Seoul's official website, and pre-orders are also available!

They used to offer a lettering service for reservations, but unfortunately, as of 2026, it is no longer provided.

You can also conveniently browse cake menus on Naver Maps, so it's a good idea to check it out before making a purchase!

They also offer miniature slice cakes, tarts, and éclairs.

These are a great option if a whole cake feels a bit much!

The prices, ranging from ~$7 to ~$15, are quite reasonable.

The Praline Chocolate Stick, with its appealing hard chocolate shell similar to a Häagen-Dazs chocolate bar, is also delicious.

There are five flavors (milk caramel, green tea, raspberry, passion fruit & mango, dark chocolate), and each is priced at ~$5!

They also sell pound cakes, perfect for gifting, with prices varying slightly by flavor.

In the refrigerators inside, you'll find various snacks, including beverages, bread, and macarons.

We grabbed a Dacquoise! (Priced at ~$4)

Beyond the sweets, they also sell tequila, like Clase Azul, and unique wines and champagnes.

The Shilla Seoul Eco-Bag Price

A hidden gem and popular item at The Shilla Seoul Pastry Boutique is the Shilla Seoul Eco-Bag!

I bought one a few years ago and still use it today.

It's priced at ~$26.

The material is sturdy, and it has excellent storage capacity, making it a comfortable tote for summer! It even fits a 13-inch MacBook laptop, can you believe it?!

I prefer my tote bags light, so I don't attach a keyring, but they do look cute with one. 🧸

A standard Shilla Bear keyring is ~$16,

while the Shilla Bear K-Edition keyring was ~$42,

and the Red Horse Shilla Bear keyring (commemorating the Year of the Horse) was ~$31.

(I probably wouldn't spend that much, but hey, it's a limited edition!)

Cake Review

For a friend's birthday, we picked up a slice of cake and a dacquoise. A small but sweet haul!

Guests staying at The Shilla Seoul receive a 10% discount, so our total came out to ~$13!

The dacquoise disappeared so quickly after a few bites that I didn't even get a photo...

It was quite substantial, soft, and nutty—truly the epitome of a perfect dacquoise!

We snapped a quick photo of the roll cake by the window, then it went straight into the fridge to be enjoyed later that night.

After dinner, it was dessert time! We retrieved the cake from the fridge.

The packaging is so elegant, isn't it?

I was genuinely impressed by how carefully secured it was, ensuring it wouldn't flip over!

The packaging alone felt worth ~$11.

The roll cake's bread was incredibly soft, literally melting in my mouth.

A thick, fluffy taste of pure happiness.

While a whole cake is exciting at first, it can be hard to finish, and often goes to waste.

Especially during a hotel staycation, it's hard to keep leftovers after checkout, so it's often sadly discarded.
