Hi everyone, it's Lili!
When planning a family getaway to Jeju Island,
the absolute number one thing I look at
is the swimming pool!
Since we travel with kids,
I always evaluate resorts based on three key things:
Is it safe? Is the kid-friendly pool spacious? And are the rules easy to follow?
(Let's be honest, high-end luxury hotels rarely disappoint... haha!)

Among all the 5-star luxury resorts on Jeju Island,
The Shilla Jeju checked every single box perfectly.
Starting with The Shilla Jeju,
I'll also be sharing reviews of Lotte and Parnas Hotel soon, so stay tuned!
Indoor Pool
Family Pool
Adult Pool
The swimming facilities here are divided into three main zones.
1. Indoor Pool

Perfect for any weather, this pool maintains a very stable temperature,
making it excellent for keeping children comfortable.
While it is open year-round, it can feel a tiny bit basic compared to the outdoor areas.

With a depth of 4 feet (1.2m),
I highly recommend putting a life jacket on younger kids
or staying close by as a guardian.

But don't worry too much!
There are always attentive lifeguards
keeping a close watch on the swimmers.

If you get a bit chilly playing outside,
you can easily head into the indoor pool area,
enjoy the sauna, and warm up. It was incredibly convenient for our family.
2. Family Pool

This is the absolute best spot for families traveling with children.
The depth is very manageable,
making it perfect for toddlers up to early elementary school kids.
Swim tubes are permitted (including complimentary tubes provided by the hotel).
Guardian supervision is mandatory at all times.
(Kids under 4.3 feet / 130cm must wear a life jacket and be accompanied by an adult.)

Since our little one was quite young, we spent almost all of our time here.
The water temperature is wonderfully warm,
and the relaxing atmosphere made it a huge hit with our child.

3. Adult Pool

This zone is restricted to guests aged 13 and older.
It offers a quiet, serene, and private atmosphere.
Unfortunately, because of our little one,
we couldn't use it even once, which was a bit of a bummer...
I guess we'll have to wait for those years to fly by! haha.
We will definitely have to return to The Shilla Jeju in 2028!

Our family finally tried the legendary dish!
The Beef Brisket Jjambong (spicy noodle soup)... haha!
It is incredibly delicious.
But I wonder, is it so delicious because of the flavor,
or because of the price? Hahaha!
The portion size is absolutely massive, easily enough for two.
The current price is
~$40...
Wow! 💸
Aside from the incredible swimming facilities,
everything from the breakfast buffet to the guest service
was absolutely outstanding.
The breakfast spread is highly diverse
