1. Sepyeong Gukbap Gujwa: The Essentials

Location

Address: 1 Sepyeonghang-ro, Gujwa-eup, Jeju City

Sepyeong Gukbap is conveniently located close to Sehwa Harbor. I actually stumbled upon this spot looking for a lunch place after checking out of my accommodation nearby.

Parking

I parked behind the Olive Young next door, where I did some quick shopping. The area is generally quiet, so finding parking shouldn't be an issue.

You'll likely find ample parking without any trouble.

Operating Hours

Daily 06:00 AM - 04:00 PM

(Last order 03:00 PM)

Since they close at 4:00 PM, Sepyeong Gukbap is the perfect spot for an authentic Jeju breakfast or a delicious lunch in Gujwa.

They keep their menu concise with three delicious options. As any seasoned traveler knows, a short menu often signals a true culinary gem – and Sepyeong Gukbap certainly lives up to that!

2. My Review of Sepyeong Gukbap in Sehwa Harbor

My friend and I decided to sample a bit of everything, ordering one

Beef Gukbap and one Black Pork Donkatsu.

(Make sure to ask for the half-and-half sauce if you're feeling adventurous with the Donkatsu!)

The side dishes were simple yet perfectly prepared. The Kkakdugi (diced radish kimchi) was particularly outstanding – perfectly crisp and tangy.

The Beef Gukbap arrived first, steaming hot and incredibly inviting. I was genuinely impressed by the generous amount of tender, flavorful beef.

The meat was so succulent, making every spoonful a delight!

But the Black Pork Donkatsu truly surprised me! It came served with a side of pasta – a delightful, nostalgic touch that instantly transported me back to childhood.

While both Donkatsu sauces were delicious, I personally leaned towards the classic original for its rich flavor.

The Donkatsu also came with a substantial portion of rice, making it a truly satisfying meal!

You can see from the photo just how quickly we devoured that delicious Kkakdugi – it was truly addictive! Haha!

All that delicious food came to a total of ~$15 for both of us. Talk about incredible value for money!
