Heading out on a KTX train journey from Seoul Station? Here is a handy guide to finding luggage storage lockers, delicious transit snacks, and easy navigation.
It’s been a minute since my last getaway, but my travel buddy and I finally took off for a trip to Mukho! 🚊
We heard it’s the absolute best destination for a car-free day trip, so we just had to go.
Every time I head to Seoul Station to catch the KTX, I find myself wondering, "What shops and amenities were there again?"
Since my memory is always a bit hazy, I decided to put together this complete guide once and for all!
Seoul Station KTX Food & Eats
From snacks to luggage lockers, here is your ultimate master guide! 🌟
Let's kick things off with a look back at the delicious snacks we devoured last time! Let's go ~
📍 2F, 405 Hangang-daero, Yongsan-gu, Seoul
(114m from Exit 3 of Airport Railroad Seoul Station)
After getting off at Seoul Station (Line 4), we followed the signs
clearly marked "KTX."
As you head up, you'll ride a long escalator,
and right underneath it, we spotted a Gong cha!
If you're coming down the escalator, head out to the left
and walk right in the direction of that arrow. ⬆️
There's also a massive Starbucks on the outside,
which is a perfect option if you have some time to kill before your train.
We were hoping to grab a locker if there were any open spots,
and we found them right on the left, immediately after
walking in through the entrance marked by the arrow.
LOCKER SERVICE Luggage Lockers
That's the sign you're looking for!
The rates (after the initial basic period) are:
Small: ~$1
Medium: ~$1
Large: ~$1
📍 2nd Floor
In the main waiting lounge, near the hallways leading down to the KTX platforms (close to the Information Desk and the Samsonite store)
📍 3rd & 4th Floors
If you take the escalator up, you'll find lockers next to the LYNN store or near the passage connecting to the Lotte Mart parking lot.
📍 Subway Station (Lines 1 & 4)
"Happy Box" lockers are installed near the subway ticket gates, station corridors, and close to the restrooms by Exits 1, 2, and 3.
The main food court is located up the escalator.
Since it was the weekend, Seoul Station was absolutely bustling with people!
With massive departure screens showing schedules and boarding gates, plus plenty of helpful staff around, you won't get lost as long as you aren't running late!
If you head further inside toward the center, you’ll see the ticket office and a Tous Les Jours bakery. Once you pass those and walk deeper inside, you'll find the boarding gates along with a hub of awesome snack spots.
Let’s head inside, let's go!
Since you're allowed to enjoy snacks or light meals onboard the KTX, it’s a great idea to grab some treats beforehand if you're feeling peckish!
For snacks and quick bites,
there are giant inari sushi, salmon sushi, and even sweet seed hotteok pies!
Sweet and crispy dakgangjeong (Korean fried chicken) is also a super popular choice.
We actually picked up the dakgangjeong twice!
Maybe because we ate it on the train? It tasted absolutely amazing.
✔️ Pricing:
Small ~$4
Medium ~$8
Large ~$12
There was also a gimbap shop where you can grab bite-sized mini gimbap.
We ordered a cupbap (rice cup) with scrambled egg & rice balls too!
TRUEDAN Cafe
Last time, we got coffee here. But this time,
we went to Blue Bottle just outside. I remember the coffee here being pretty great too!
Blue Bottle is located just outside, right next to Burger King.
Plus, with options like Mapo Mandu (dumplings), sweet rice puffs, obangtteok (wheel cake), and toast,
you can pick whatever you crave and enjoy a delicious feast on the train! ~~
Let's go! Off we depart 🩵🩵
A cup of dakgangjeong, a cupbap, and two coffees. Perfect and neat, right?
We kept it simple since we planned to have a big lunch as soon as we arrived.
Mix, mix, mix!!! We took one bite and started raving about how delicious it was, haha!
(To be honest, it might not have been *that* mind-blowing, but the train journey vibes made everything taste amazing.)
And of course, we didn't forget to grab snacks for the journey back! ~
If you're looking for quick and tasty snack ideas at Seoul Station,
I highly recommend this combo!!
