Discover breathtaking night views from 1,821 feet up! Here's everything you need to know about Seoul Sky Observatory tickets, hours, and hidden pop-ups.

If you want to capture the entirety of Seoul in a single glance,
the Seoul Sky Observatory at Lotte World Tower
is an absolute must-visit. Here is my complete review!
Towering at an impressive 1,821 feet (555 meters),
I timed my visit for after 8:00 PM to soak in the glittering city lights,
and ended up staying right until closing at 10:00 PM.
From the incredibly lifelike Grogu photo zone on the B2 floor
to the high-speed elevator experience, the open-air terrace,
the special Star Wars pop-up up top,
and the best tips for scoring discounted tickets—
read on to ensure your Seoul date night is a massive success.
Pro Tip: The Star Wars pop-up is listed as being on the B2 floor,
but the regular B2 floor of Lotte World Tower is just a parking lot!
You can only access this specific B2 pop-up area
AFTER officially entering the Seoul Sky gates.

1. Seoul Sky Floors & Night View Hours

Thanks to a perk from my partner's company,
we were staying at the Sofitel Ambassador Seoul Hotel.
Since it's right next door, heading over to Seoul Sky was a no-brainer.
The adjacent building is the massive Lotte Mall,
so we checked out a MapleStory pop-up first,
then headed to the observatory for the night views.
Having seen the night skyline from N Seoul Tower before,
I was eager to see which viewpoint would impress me more.
Lotte World Tower Observatory
Seoul Sky occupies the top of the 123-story building,
spanning 129 floors in total (B6 to 123F)!

I've been to Lotte World and Lotte Mall plenty of times,
but this was my first time actually going up to Seoul Sky.
It just so happened that a Star Wars pop-up
was running at the same time, making it even better!
Like N Seoul Tower, the views are stunning during the day,
but there's something truly magical about the city lights.
I'm so glad we chose an evening visit.
Because it was later in the evening, the crowds had thinned out.
We practically had the floor-to-ceiling windows to ourselves.
Looking out over the sprawling, glowing metropolis of Seoul
was honestly a bit emotional and deeply inspiring.
Seoul has been incredibly popular with international travelers lately,
and the night we went, the observatory was full of global visitors.

2. Star Wars Pop-Up & Photo Zones

While Lotte Mall is famous for being a great indoor date spot
and the Seoul Sky views are legendary,
I was equally hyped for the Star Wars Mandalorian & Grogu
pop-up photo zones.
After scanning our QR codes on the B1 level,
we took the escalator down to B2.
On the way to the high-speed elevator,
we ran into the Mandalorian and Grogu photo zones.
Naturally, I had to stop for photos and videos!
They made Grogu look so incredibly realistic,
I honestly wanted to take him home with me. 😇
As we headed further in and rode the high-speed elevator up,
the cabin was decked out with Star Wars visuals
and the iconic soundtrack playing—I couldn't look away.
Even if you aren't a hardcore Star Wars fan,
do yourself a favor and watch The Mandalorian
on Disney+... It's so good!

Before you go up to the main observatory floors,
the staff will ask if you want your picture taken at the entrance.
If you want a physical print later, it costs an extra ~$12 (15,000 KRW).
Even if you don't plan on buying the print,
you should still pose for the photo.
They give you a pamphlet with a QR code,
and scanning it at various photo zones is surprisingly fun!
The open-air terrace was also accessible,
allowing us to appreciate the sparkling Seoul skyline
through crystal-clear glass without any glare.
There's also a cafe up on the 120th floor,
which is the perfect spot to grab a drink or some ice cream while enjoying the view!
3. Seoul Sky Ticket Discount Comparison

If you buy your Seoul Sky tickets on-site at the counter,
it costs ~$25 per adult.
However, if you book online in advance,
you can get tickets for two people for just ~$43.
Best of all, there's no need to wait in the ticket line.
You just walk straight to the entrance gate,
show the QR code on your phone, and walk right in!
Being able to skip the line and get in faster
is a huge advantage.

There are souvenir shops located both up on the 120th floor
and down on the B1 level before you exit the building.
Since I stayed until right before the 10:00 PM closing time,
both gift shops were already closed by the time I checked them out.
Instead of the classic love locks you see at other towers,
Seoul Sky features small wooden wishing plaques
called Sowondam, which are incredibly popular!
They also have a variety of keychains, magnets, and other souvenirs,
so make sure to browse around.

While the Star Wars pop-up at Seoul Sky
wasn't massive in scale,
I still thought it was a fantastic addition to the experience.
There were Star Wars photo zones before entry, right as you enter,
down on B2, and even past the 120th floor.
There was also a dedicated Star Wars pop-up store on B1.
Although I was a bit bummed by the lack of Mandalorian plushies
and specific keychains, the combination of
enjoying panoramic views of Seoul and getting a dose of Star Wars
made it a highly memorable trip!

Lotte Mall itself is packed with great food, activities, and shopping,
making it the perfect indoor date spot when the weather is too hot.
Events like the MapleStory pop-up on the lawn
often don't require a reservation,
so it's easy to bundle everything together for a full day out!
