Hi everyone, I'm Korean, but this was my first time visiting the Lotte Tower Seoul Sky Observatory! ;;;
That's because I always thought it was too expensive before ;;;
But then a foreign friend asked me, 'You've never been here???
It's amazing!'
and took me to the Lotte Tower Seoul Sky Observatory.
In conclusion, if you go with a discount, it's not that expensive after all
(It wasn't my money, but still!)
I can't believe I hadn't visited this beautiful
date spot until now!
Once I actually went (during the evening to night hours)
the night view was absolutely breathtaking,,,,
🖤 The Sky Deck with its glass floor and the outdoor deck were also
so thrilling!
🖤 Even the elevator was amazing.
It was so good, I wondered why I hadn't come sooner.
✔️ And the ticket prices for the Seoul Sky Observatory were
adults ~$21, and the fast pass was ~$43, but
seeing my foreign friend smartly buy tickets at a discounted price,
I'm sharing how to get discounts too! (My friend paid!)
It was even possible to buy tickets right before use.

✔️ Recommended Highlights:
The elevator up to the observatory,
the observatory introduction area upon arrival (where you can sit and watch),
the glass-floored Sky Deck,
and the Sky Terrace.
✔️ Lotte Tower Seoul Sky Restaurant:
When visiting as a walk-in on a Sunday evening,
it was available, but there were no window seats, so I didn't dine there.
Window seats usually require reservations through Catch Table,
~$83 per person.
(Personally, instead of paying this much to eat there, I'd rather spend a bit more and go to the Signiel 81 Bar downstairs,
grab a simple meal, or dine at a Signiel restaurant, or even visit the Signiel bar and then enjoy a delicious meal at a nearby restaurant...)
This is just my personal opinion...
Because while the Seoul Sky restaurant is on the 123rd floor, higher than Signiel 81,
I don't think the view is dramatically different just because it's higher,
and the Signiel 81st floor bar actually feels much more luxurious... (The 78th floor is only half the view, so definitely go to the 81st floor!)
Lotte World Mall is just as complex as COEX, but
anyway, Seoul Sky is located right at the entrance of Lotte World Mall.
I also wanted to try the Sky Bridge,
but it looked really scary, and thankfully, it was too late in the day, so I couldn't do it.
They say the Lotte Tower Seoul Sky Observatory is more beautiful during
the night view hours, but even more so during sunset when the sun is just beginning to set.
I visited on a Sunday evening, after 8 PM.
There was a moderate crowd, with a lot of foreigners and quite a few Koreans as well.
If you buy Lotte Tower Seoul Sky Observatory tickets on-site,
it's ~$21 for adults, ~$43 for a fast pass, and ~$19 for children.
However, I bought the observatory tickets at a discount.
You can purchase them on your mobile and use them immediately on-site.

They said a fast pass ticket would be super handy for Lotte Tower on weekend afternoons, especially since queues can get pretty long, letting you skip the wait entirely.
But when we visited Seoul Sky on a late Sunday evening,
it was actually quite peaceful, so a regular ticket worked out perfectly.
Once you show your admission ticket at Lotte Tower Seoul Sky,
you'll head down to Basement 2 before catching the elevator up.
Given it's a super skyscraper with mind-bending glass floors, there are a few items you can't bring in.
Hazardous materials, outside food, strollers, and luggage are strictly off-limits, and unfortunately, your furry friends will have to stay home too.
Riding the elevator up to the Lotte Tower Seoul Sky Observatory was an experience in itself –
it was truly exhilarating!
It really felt like bursting through the earth and rocketing up into the sky!
Mid-way up, there's even a fascinating presentation featuring Korean cultural backgrounds and introductions –
I bet international visitors would absolutely love it!
When you reach the 117th floor, there’s a cool spot that gives you an introduction to the Seoul Sky Observatory –
and you get to sit down and watch!
I absolutely recommend sitting down and watching the whole thing!
Because once it finishes, the windows behind you dramatically open up to reveal
an absolutely breathtaking sight!
Prepare for Seoul's night view – *BAM!*
I almost screamed with excitement!
My friend (who's an international explorer herself!) had actually been twice and knew this was coming,
but she said she kept quiet just for me (a first-time Korean visitor) to experience the full surprise!
So, there was the proud global explorer at the Lotte Tower Observatory,
and me, the local, utterly amazed...
It was pretty hilarious! 😂
Go up just a little further, and you'll discover the iconic highlight of Lotte Tower's Sky Tower!
There's the incredible
Sky Deck, with its heart-stopping glass floor!
The glass panels on the floor look like they have tiny cracks – it's absolutely terrifying in the best way!
Just wait for your turn and snap some amazing photos.
Honestly, I'm still figuring out the trick to taking truly Instagram-worthy photos
at Seoul Sky Observatory...
At one point, I just decided to lie flat on Seoul Sky's glass floor,
but... let's just say it's not the secret to getting a great photo.
Beyond this particular spot, there's glass everywhere you look, making it perfect for endless photo opportunities and incredible sightseeing!
If you want to zoom through quickly without any waiting and just take a swift look around,
you'll still need at least an hour.

Because even in the middle of the night, I'm witnessing the spectacle of Seoul's traffic jams with my own eyes...
Seriously, you absolutely, positively *have* to check this place out!
💦✔️Listen up: if you visit Lotte Tower Seoul Sky Observatory and
*don't* step out onto the outdoor terrace,
you're basically throwing away half the value of your admission ticket!
This place is truly breathtaking.
And the wind was incredibly strong, making it super cold,
you can truly feel the biting wind of the 120th floor on your skin.
Also, the ceiling is open, but because of the net installed there
to prevent people from throwing things,
it was honestly quite terrifying...
What if someone throws something from even higher up????
What if someone picks me up and throws me down there? As these endless 'what if' scenarios played out in my mind, this place felt genuinely scary and thrilling.
Q: Lotte Tower Seoul Sky | Cafes, Restaurants, Reservations?
✔️ On the 122nd floor and the floor below it,
you'll find an Angel-in-us Coffee and other regular cafes.
I was full, so I didn't go.
If you come during a busy time and get tired, it seems like a good idea to pop into a cafe.
Everyone seemed to be enjoying a lot of ice cream.

Also, on the 123rd floor, there's a Lotte Tower Seoul Sky restaurant.
As I mentioned earlier, it's ~$83 per person for a meal, and it seems like they might have simpler menu options beyond full meals too.
But we came without a reservation, so they told us there were no window seats available.
So, we didn't dine there.

There's also a souvenir shop,
which was the only moment I truly felt, "Ah, I'm not a tourist after all."
(Up until then, I was totally just an excited tourist.)
They were selling souvenirs that weren't particularly interesting to Koreans...
It seems like they're doing some kind of collaboration with Disney right now,
but even that didn't really pique my interest...
Maybe I'm just getting old, haha.
And when it's time to leave, you can take another fantastic elevator down,
but before you exit the Seoul Sky Observatory, there's a piano.
It's a spot where anyone can freely play the piano.
But can *anyone* truly play it?
But wouldn't you know it, right at the end, two incredibly cool students (who seemed to be music majors)
with amazing presence,
played the piano like it was a competition,
and apparently, no one else dared to touch the keys after that!

Right in front, there's some kind of delicious restaurant alley,
I don't know what it's called,
but my friend took me there saying it was their favorite restaurant.
Was the meat called 'It's okay not to know' or something...?
But seriously, it was incredibly chewy and absolutely delicious!
I'll update this post if I remember where it was!
