Seoul March 2026: Weather, What to Wear & Bongeunsa Blooms
Mid-March 2026 in Seoul kicks off spring flower season! Enjoy mild days perfect for exploring. Pack light jackets, sweaters, and jeans for cool mornings and warm afternoons. Discover stunning plum blossoms!

As mid-March 2026 rolls around,
a delightful hint of spring has begun
to grace Seoul.
While the morning air still carries a crisp chill,
the afternoons are bathed in wonderfully warm sunshine,
creating ideal conditions for
leisurely strolls.
Seoul March 2026 Weather

Temperatures typically range:
Mornings: approximately 32-41°F
Daytime: approximately 50-59°F
While afternoons are quite mild,
mornings and evenings remain chilly.

Especially on rainy or overcast days,
the 'feels like' temperature can drop a bit,
so you might still spot some locals in a puffer jacket.
From mid-March onwards,
you can expect the high temperatures to steadily climb
towards the end of the month, bringing a much fuller sense of spring!
However, the significant temperature swings between day and night
mean you'll want to pay attention to your outerwear.
What to Wear in Seoul in March

While the heavy winter goose down jackets have been
sent to the cleaners and tucked away,
a light short puffer jacket is still a common sight,
even for me!

However, indoors,
you might already spot some people in short-sleeved shirts.

Most people opt for lighter inner layers
like long-sleeved t-shirts or thin sweaters.

A thin sweater or t-shirt +
an early-winter weight outer layer seems to be
the perfect combination :)

Still, with many pleasant sunny days in the afternoon,
I naturally find myself reaching for
jeans or brighter colored clothes more often than my winter attire :)

Even in the local parks near my home,
the beautiful sansuyu (cornelian cherry) blossoms
are slowly beginning to unfurl!

While it will likely take a bit more time
for them to reach their full bloom,
the feeling of spring is definitely in the air!
