Junji Ito Collection collaboration + Dark Fantasy Festival
I simply couldn't resist checking it out 👀
1. Lotte World Full-Day Ticket Booking

A full-day Lotte World ticket costs ₩67,000 (~$50).
Even an After 4 PM admission ticket is ₩55,000 (~$41).
These prices can certainly add up, so paying the full price might hit your wallet hard.

That's why I booked my tickets through MyRealTrip.

2. The Junji Ito Collection Collaboration

Lotte World (롯데월드) has teamed up with Junji Ito, the master of horror manga!
Event Period: September 19 – November 15, 2026
Magic Island (매직아일랜드) is filled with photo zones, letting you immerse yourself in the bizarre and eerie atmosphere unique to Junji Ito's works. It was a thrilling experience!

Among them, the Tomie Rose photo zone seemed to be the most popular.
It was set up in a crowded area, which made taking photos a bit challenging.
Still, if you time it right, you can snag some fantastic shots!

The third floor of Magic Castle (매직캐슬) was also decorated according to the theme.
It offered an even creepier and more unsettling vibe than the outdoor photo zones, making me think little kids might cry if they saw it! 😂
Perhaps that's why they 'hid' it on the third floor 🤔
With various props and photo opportunities, it's a must-visit if you're heading to Lotte World (롯데월드) in Seoul (서울).

The Junji Ito collaboration extended beyond just photo zones; it also featured themed snacks!
Blood Corn Blood Ade, Fuchi's Runway Ade,
Souichi Choco Sundae Ice Cream, and Tomie's Splitting Syringe
Just be aware that each snack is sold at different locations, so make sure to check.
And remember, these are only available during the Junji Ito collaboration season!

In the evenings, the Magic Castle (매직캐슬) mapping show projects character faces all over the castle.
If you try to take a picture from the 2nd-floor photo zone, you might only capture their eyes, haha!
3. The Dark Fantasy Festival

You definitely can't miss Lotte World's highly popular parade!
This spectacular event happens only once each evening, starting daily at 8:20 PM.
If catching the parade is your main goal, I highly recommend booking the After 7 PM ticket.
For adults, the After 7 PM ticket is ₩30,000 (~$22).

Since it's such a popular parade, people started claiming their spots as early as 6 PM!
I decided to give up on getting a front-row view and watched from a distance.
Even from afar, the performers shone so brightly that I could easily spot them.

Luckily, the parade coincided with my ride on the 'Aerial Flight' (공중비행), allowing me to watch the entire spectacle from above! It was fantastic – I got to see the performance twice, even catching the performers' 'after-work' exit.
It was a relaxed yet incredibly fulfilling way to experience it, and I'll share more about that in a separate post.

With the Junji Ito collaboration and the Dark Fantasy Parade, Lotte World (롯데월드) is undoubtedly one of Seoul's (서울) hottest attractions right now!
Both events run until November 15, so make sure to visit before they end!
