it's been a space I absolutely adore:

Hapjeong Kyobo Bookstore!

Unlike other Kyobo Bookstores,

it truly captures the local vibe of the Hongdae-Hapjeong area,

making it a bookstore

**specializing in culture and arts**.

How to Get to Hapjeong Kyobo Bookstore

However, the first time you try to find it,

it might be a little confusing.

First, if you're coming by subway,

you'll want to head towards **Exit 8**.

After passing the restrooms

and continuing straight,

you'll see the **Delight Square entrance**

connected to Hapjeong Station.

Looking at the map here,

you can see Kyobo Bookstore prominently

located on **B2 (Basement 2)**.

Just follow the arrows straight ahead.

Here, don't go up,

but take the escalator going **down**!

As you can see, the benefits are much better if you're a member,

so it's definitely a good idea to **sign up for a Kyobo Bookstore membership**, wouldn't you agree?

By the way,

if there's no purchase or if you exceed the free parking time,

the parking fee is **~$1 per 10 minutes**.

The free grace period for parking is 20 minutes,

as well as various writing instruments and art supplies,

are also available here.

Connecting to Kyobo Bookstore Hapjeong

You might even walk past without realizing there's a **second space** waiting to be discovered!

Once you step out of Yeum, you'll find a connecting passage that leads directly to the **second Kyobo Bookstore – Kium**!

The **second space, Kium**, offers a layout more akin to a traditional Kyobo Bookstore, brimming with titles across various genres such as novels, humanities, history, education, and economics.

You'll journey quite a distance along this connecting passage – it truly boasts a unique layout!

And here it is – the entrance to Kium!

With bestseller corners in sight, it feels much more like the familiar bookstores we all love, doesn't it?

One of the greatest advantages here is the abundance of cozy reading tables scattered throughout, inviting you to sit down and lose yourself in a book!

While weekend visits might mean a short wait as seats are often full, it's absolutely worth it! This is my go-to spot to leisurely explore new worlds within pages and enjoy some peaceful time :)
