1. Finding E.O.D Hannam in Seoul's Hannam-dong
📍 E.O.D Hannam (이오디 한남)
3rd floor, 64 Daesagwan-ro, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, South Korea
E.O.D Hannam is located near Soonchunhyang University Hospital (순천향대병원). This area has become quite the hot spot recently, hasn't it!? It's not a neighborhood I visit often, but my friends and I ended up having dinner nearby and decided to explore a hookah bar.

Hannam 2 District (한남2구역) is right nearby, so I snapped a photo of the demolition site close by.

E.O.D Hannam is located on the 3rd floor of the building housing Compose Coffee (컴포즈커피), easily accessible.
2. A Cafe-Like Atmosphere at This Hannam-dong Hookah Bar

Having opened in May 2026, this new spot in Hannam-dong is incredibly clean, don't you think?

When you think of a hookah bar, you might imagine something a bit seedy or a smoky backroom, right? But not here! It feels just like a regular, chic bar.

Doesn't this give off more of a cafe vibe? If you're new to hookah, this welcoming atmosphere makes it a great place to visit without feeling intimidated. 💕

After sipping on the complimentary peppermint tea, let's explore the shisha flavors on offer! 🫢
3. What is Hookah? Shisha, Hookah, and the Water Pipe Principle
Before we dive deeper into the review, you might be curious about what hookah actually means, right?
Hookah is a term derived from Arabic, meaning water pipe. It's commonly used in Western countries like the US and Europe, while in Persia, Arab regions, and Japan, it's often called Shisha.
Ultimately, Hookah = Shisha = Water Pipe.
So, how does a water pipe work?

That tall, slender object on the bar is the hookah. It's a type of smoking device where tobacco leaves are heated by charcoal, and the resulting smoke is filtered through water before being inhaled.
While tobacco leaves can vary between hookah bars, E.O.D Hannam uses nicotine-free tobacco leaves, making it comfortable even for non-smokers!

And the best part about shisha is being able to choose your preferred flavor! ❤️
You can order their recommended Signature Blends or choose individual flavors.
I ordered the 'EVENT OF DEFAULT' blend! If you're new to shisha, definitely stick with the 'Beginner' options, as 'Standard' and above might have stronger flavors and aromas. ☆
4. My Honest Review

The shisha device comes with a tag indicating the date, the shisha maker, and the flavor. I've seen this kind of tag in Japanese shisha bars too; it seems to be a popular trend! ㅎvㅎ

Simply attach a disposable mouthpiece to the end of the long hose connected to the hookah, inhale, and exhale. (Of course, each person gets their own mouthpiece!)
Since the smoke is filtered through water, it has a slightly humid feel. If you inhale and exhale through your nose, you might even feel tiny water droplets inside your nostrils! 💦 It doesn't feel like smoking a cigarette at all; think of it more like inhaling and exhaling fruit-flavored vapor.

I also ordered gin, which pairs wonderfully with shisha. Since they offer bottle keeping, I opted for a bottle of Tanqueray. Even the ice cubes look impressive, don't they?

Couldn't resist taking a few aesthetic shots....☆

After enjoying shisha and drinks, I started craving something sweet, so I ordered their homemade tiramisu, and it was absolutely delicious...♡ The cream was generous, the cake was soft, and it paired so well with the gin that I'll definitely order it again as a snack next time! ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
I highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to try shisha in a comfortable, no-pressure environment!
That wraps up my review of E.O.D Hannam, a fantastic hookah bar in Seoul! :>
