1. GLOCALOKA

GLOCALOKA is a 4-star hotel occupying the 19th and 20th floors of the Koreana Hotel building in Gwanghwamun.
It's been beautifully remodeled with a vibrant pop art design,
and aims to embody a dynamic, energetic lifestyle.
📍 GLOCALOKA Gwanghwamun
19-20F Koreana Hotel, 135 Sejong-daero (세종대로), Jung-gu (중구), Seoul

It's just a 2-minute walk from Gwanghwamun Station (광화문역) on Line 5,
and only a 3-minute walk from City Hall Station (시청역) on Lines 1 & 2.
What's more, there's an airport bus stop right outside,
making it an absolutely perfect spot for a month-long stay in Seoul!

To get to GLOCALOKA, you first need to head to the Koreana Hotel in Gwanghwamun.
Pick up a special key card at the dedicated desk in the 1st-floor lobby,
then take the elevator up to the 20th floor.

The moment you step out, you'll find an interior completely different from the first floor's atmosphere,
with a vibrant, popping corridor welcoming you.
For check-in at GLOCALOKA, our recommended Gwanghwamun hotel in Seoul,
simply head to the check-in desk located in the middle of the 20th-floor corridor.

Next to the check-in counter, you'll find essential daily necessities available to borrow,
such as cotton swabs, tissues, nail clippers, and chargers.
They even offer free rental of hair straighteners!
This truly made me feel it's perfectly suited for a month-long stay in Seoul.

2. Room Condition

When I opened the door and stepped inside, I was surprised to see three doors.
The wooden door on the right had a closet for hanging outerwear and a mini shoe rack for storing several pairs of shoes.
Behind the mint-colored door on the left is the bathroom, but I'll show you the room first, then the bathroom in detail!

This spacious studio-style room, Glocca Loca at Gwanghwamun Hotel (광화문호텔) in Seoul (서울), is recommended for a comfortable and pleasant stay for one, or even two people!👍

There are plenty of hangers in the closet, a spacious table, and many drawers for storage, making it feel just like a regular home. From the very first day of my month-long stay in Seoul, I felt completely at ease, as if it were my own place.

There's a mini-fridge, which is great for storing food, and a fan was provided in preparation for summer.
I was even surprised by how pretty the fan's design was lol

One of the reasons I recommend this accommodation for a month-long stay in Seoul is the luxurious massage chair – it's unlimited use throughout your stay, how amazing is that!
Even if there isn't a massage chair in your room, there's another one in the shared office on the 19th floor, so feel free to use it :)

Best of all, you can enjoy a Namsan Tower (남산타워) view right from your room, making it perfect not just for a month-long stay in Seoul, but also for a short-term 'hocance' (hotel vacation) during your travels!

The bathrooms are super clean, and equipped with shampoo, conditioner, toothbrushes,
towels, and hair dryers.
So you only need to bring things like face wash, your personal toiletries,
and skincare products!
3. 20th Floor Shared Kitchen

The 20th-floor shared kitchen is freely available for guests to use, and it's equipped with
**cooking tools comparable to what you'd find in a home**, so you can even cook your own meals!

The kitchen at Gloka Roka (글로카로카), recommended as a fantastic Gwanghwamun (광화문) hotel in Seoul (서울),
is even better equipped than most home kitchens.
You'll find frying pans, cutting boards, pots, wine glasses, soju cups,
various plates, water bottles, sauce dishes, chopsticks, knives, and more.
They even have basic seasonings, making it a versatile kitchen where you can whip up a meal in no time if you just bring the ingredients! ✨

Another reason this is a top recommendation for a month-long stay in Seoul is that you can enjoy
✔ **a wide variety of food for free and unlimited**, including cereal, coffee, hot chocolate, eggs, bread, and ramyeon.
It’s perfect for breakfast or a late-night snack.
There's also a water purifier, microwave, ice maker, and toaster.

What's even better is that it's **available 24/7**, so you can make
ramyeon or toast late into the night.
The toast combo with a fried egg, mayonnaise, and ketchup is
super delicious, so you absolutely *have* to try it! Haha.
4. Office & Meeting Room

Glokaloka, a recommended hotel in Gwanghwamun (광화문), Seoul (서울),
also has a calm office space,
making it perfect for a 'workation'.
With computers and meeting rooms available,
it was a great place to focus on work.
There's even a massage chair tucked away in a corner,
so if your shoulders get stiff from working, you can quickly grab a massage,
then get back to work, and repeat! Haha.

Since there's also a multifunction printer, it’s an absolute must-recommend !!
for freelancers, digital nomads, and anyone looking for a 'month-long stay' accommodation in Seoul!

The 19th-floor shared office also has a kitchen,
so you can grab a quick bite without going up to the 20th floor.
Just a heads-up, coffee seemed to be available only on the 20th floor..!
5. Laundry Room

One of the essential things to check for a month-long stay accommodation in Seoul is
whether or not there's a washing machine.
Glokaloka offers free and unlimited use of washing machines and detergent,
making it an excellent choice for long-term guests.

Of course, an iron is also provided,
so you can keep your clothes wrinkle-free throughout your stay.
And if you ever need extra towels in your room, there are spares available in the laundry room,
so feel free to take and use them.
6. Nearby Tourist Attractions

Iconic Seoul landmarks like Gwanghwamun, the Statue of Admiral Yi Sun-sin (이순신 장군 동상),
Deoksugung Palace (덕수궁), and Insa-dong (인사동) are all close to the accommodation,
making them great for a daytime travel itinerary or
a leisurely evening stroll around the plaza.

With so many famous Korean landmarks right in front of the accommodation,
you'd never get tired of taking a walk every night before bed.

It was such a shame to only stay for one night, so I gazed at the Gwanghwamun nightscape
until just before falling asleep.
I totally understood why Glokaloka at Gwanghwamun Hotel
is mentioned as a recommended accommodation for a month-long stay in Seoul —
it was a truly understandable lodging experience! 😆

Even though I live in Seoul, I wanted to try a month-long stay at Glokaloka myself,
because the shared kitchen, office, and rooms were all so great.
Most importantly, since it's located in the heart of Seoul,
on the upper floors of the Koreana Hotel (코리아나 호텔) in Gwanghwamun,
it's perfect for exploring various attractions all over the city.
