Seoul Cruise Starlight Aurora Review 2026: Han River Night Views
Experience the Seoul Cruise Starlight Aurora with our family review! Enjoy a 70-minute journey featuring magic, jazz, stunning Han River night views, and the Banpo Bridge fountain.
Hey there, fellow adventurers~!
Thinking of a unique adventure with the little ones in Seoul,
we decided to soak in Seoul's incredible night views from atop the Han River this time!
If it were just about seeing the nightscape,
the kids might have gotten bored quickly,
but when I heard it included a magic show and even a jazz performance,
I thought, 'This could be perfect for a family outing!'
It's the **Seoul Cruise Starlight Aurora Cruise**!
To be honest, I always thought the Yeouido Cruise and Han River cruises were
more for romantic dates~
But after taking my two kids, I realized
they were thrilled with the performances,
and I loved taking in the Han River night views, haha!
It turned out to be a fantastic family outing, much better than I expected.
Best of all, it felt completely different from our usual weekend excursions,
making it a truly special memory for the kids!
We Booked Our Seoul Cruise in Advance
The one we took was the **Starlight Aurora Cruise**.
It's about a 70-minute **Han River night view cruise** course,
departing from Yeouido, heading to Banpo Bridge, and then returning.
[Book Your Seoul Cruise Starlight Aurora Here]
It departs daily at 7:30 PM,
and currently, the regular price on the official website is
~$28 for adults and ~$21 for children.
Sometimes you can get a discounted price by booking online in advance,
so it's a good idea to check beforehand if your dates are set.
When I'm with the kids,
I find it much more reassuring to book in advance
rather than waiting in line for tickets at the venue~
Booking the Seoul Cruise is super easy too –
just select your date and number of people, and you're all set!

Especially on weekends or holidays when people flock to popular Seoul date spots,
your preferred time slot might sell out,
so I highly recommend booking in advance!

If You're Driving, Head Out a Bit Early
Since we were traveling with two kids,
we took our car~
You'll need to allow more time than you might think for parking at Seoul Cruise!
Yeouido Han River Park itself gets very crowded,
and finding a parking spot took more time than I expected.

The ship won't wait for you, haha!
So, it's better to arrive early and move at a relaxed pace
rather than feeling rushed from the parking lot.
The official guidance recommends arriving 30 minutes before departure,
so if you're with kids, I'd suggest arriving even a bit earlier
to give yourselves extra time.
📍 Seoul Cruise
Yeouido Cruise Terminal, 231 Yeouido Hangang Park-gil, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul
It's Also a Short Walk from Yeouinaru Station
If you're taking public transportation,
it's actually quite close –
just about a 5-minute walk from Yeouinaru Station Exit 2.

You'll head down into Han River Park and
look for the Seoul Cruise Yeouido Ferry Terminal.
It's a newly built dock, so the building itself is large and
really stands out.

When I first heard we were going to the Han River cruise boarding point,
I imagined a small ticket booth.
But it was much larger than I expected, making me think, "Is this really the place?" Haha!

It was so convenient with mobile boarding passes instead of paper tickets!

Once your reservation is confirmed, you get a mobile boarding pass.
This meant I didn't have to constantly keep track of a paper ticket, which was super convenient.
When you're out with kids, you're juggling so many things—
bags, water bottles, and more!
In those moments, being able to quickly check your ticket on your phone
instead of rummaging around was incredibly helpful.
Before boarding, you'll need to fill out a passenger manifest
and then follow the guidance to board.
★Don't forget your ID!★
What are the Han River Cruise schedules and fares?
Let me quickly summarize the Seoul Cruise offerings
that were available when I visited.

Cruise | Duration | Route & Features | Regular Price |
Hi! Seoul Cruise | 50 min | Yeouido-Seongsan Bridge-Yeouido | Adults ~$18 / Children ~$12 |
Starlight Aurora Cruise | 70 min | Yeouido-Banpo Bridge-Yeouido / Night View, Fountain Show, Performance | Adults ~$28 / Children ~$21 |
Sunset Fireworks Cruise | 120 min | Han River Night View, Onboard Performance, Fireworks Show | Adults ~$50 / Children ~$36 |
Dinner Fireworks Cruise | 120 min | Onboard Performance, Fireworks Show, Dinner Buffet | Adults ~$99 / Children ~$72 |

There are also discounted options available for online bookings,
and Seoul Cruise events change seasonally, so make sure to check them out when you reserve.
Among these, we boarded Seoul Cruise No. 2!

The inside of the ship was bigger than I thought!

As soon as we stepped onboard, the kids asked,
"Is this really a boat?" And honestly, I was thinking the same thing! Haha!
It wasn't just a small Yeouido cruise boat like I'd imagined;
there were different spaces on each floor, which made exploring it really fun.

As we moved from the 1st to the 3rd floor,
we explored the lounge and performance area,
and even stepped out onto the deck to admire the incredible Han River.
Seriously, make sure you head up to the 3rd-floor deck!
Feeling the breeze on your face while gazing at the wide-open Han River is
a completely different vibe than just seeing it through a window from indoors.
It's truly a unique experience!
The 2nd-floor lounge wasn't just a casual spot to sit.
When I went up to the 2nd floor, there were separate lounge seats
perfect for relaxing while watching the Han River.
Oh, I thought it would be great to sit here and watch the night view,
but it turns out the lounge seats are reserved for those who order a set menu.

So, if you're like us, more keen on catching a performance
and bouncing between floors and the 3rd-floor deck
to soak in the cruise experience itself,
you don't necessarily need to use the lounge!

However, if you're looking to relax a bit more comfortably with your little ones
or want to enjoy food while watching those stunning Han River views,
then ordering a set menu and settling into the lounge is definitely a fantastic option!

A Thorough Safety Briefing Before We Set Sail
Since we were traveling with our child, safety was naturally my
top priority when cruising on a boat.
Before we departed, they gave a comprehensive safety briefing, covering things like
the location of life vests and how to wear them, which
we made sure to listen to with the kids.

I also reminded the kids not to run around on the boat,
and to always stick with Mom and Dad on the deck.
With those reminders, we officially embarked on our cruise adventure!
The Magic Show: An Absolute Hit with the Kids!
If I had to pick just one highlight for the kids from this
Seoul Cruise experience, it would undoubtedly
be the magic show.

To be honest, I was mostly there for the spectacular night views,
so I didn't have huge expectations for the performance.
But the moment it began, the kids' eyes absolutely lit up! Haha.

With the magic happening right before their very eyes,
they kept asking me how it was all done,
and honestly, Mom had no clue either! Lol.
Seeing it up close and personal,
their concentration was truly impressive.

Normally, a 70-minute boat ride might feel a bit long
for a three-year-old, but between the captivating magic show, exploring the ship,
and stepping out to marvel at the night scenery,
there was hardly a dull moment!

Especially during our visit,
Seoul Cruise was also hosting a K-POP Magic Show
event, and since these performance programs can vary by season,
it's a good idea to check before you go!

If you're considering the Yeouido Cruise with kids,
I'd recommend choosing a time slot with a performance
too!

Heading up to the 3rd deck, the real Seoul night view unfolded!
After watching the performance, we went up to the 3rd deck.
From that moment on, I was absolutely thrilled! 😂

As the sun completely set and lights came on in the buildings one by one,
and the lights reflected on the Han River,
it was a completely different vibe from the Seoul I usually glimpse while driving past.

The buildings and bridges of Seoul visible from afar,
and even the lights reflected on the river!
It suddenly made perfect sense why people flock to the Han River night cruise.

And one of the highlights of the Starlight Aurora Cruise
is none other than the Banpo Bridge Moonlight Rainbow Fountain.

The Seoul Cruise Starlight Aurora course
departs from Yeouido and sails all the way to Banpo Bridge, so
you can witness the Moonlight Rainbow Fountain from the boat.

As the lights illuminated the fountain
and streams of water poured down onto the Han River,
watching it from the boat,
it was infinitely more stunning in person than any photo could capture!!

The kids were ooh-ing and aah-ing,
and I kept my phone out, snapping pictures too! 😂

I've crisscrossed Seoul countless times and seen the Han River from so many angles,
but seeing the Han River from a boat was a first for me,
making it a truly special moment for me!

From Breathtaking Night Views to a Live Jazz Concert!
I thought the magic show was the end,
but it seamlessly transitioned into a jazz performance, completely transforming the ambiance!
If the magic show was the kids' world,
the jazz concert definitely felt like 'mom and dad's time to shine'!

Watching the Han River night view while listening to live music,
it suddenly changed from a family outing with kids
to a wonderfully romantic Seoul Han River date vibe.

So, while it's great to come here with kids,
it would also make for an absolutely fantastic Yeouido date course for couples.

While a dinner and cafe date is nice,
sometimes taking a boat ride around the Han River,
watching a performance and admiring the night view,
is something that will truly stay in your memory~
At 70 minutes, it was perfect even for riding with kids.
At first, I worried that if we rode the boat for a full 70 minutes with the kids,
they might get bored halfway through.
But in reality, watching the magic show,
exploring inside the boat, going up to the deck to see the night view,
and even enjoying the jazz performance made the time fly by so fast!

If it had been around two hours,
it might have been a bit too long for a 3-year-old,
but the Starlight Aurora Cruise was just right at 70 minutes.

The kids remembered the magic show,
while I was captivated by the Banpo Bridge Fountain and
the Seoul nightscape on that memorable day!

Unlike trips solely for kids, like amusement parks or kids' cafes,
the fact that both mom and dad could enjoy it together
was what I loved the most.

If your usual weekend outings are starting to feel a bit mundane,
it would be wonderful to give your children the experience of riding a boat and seeing Seoul's night view.

It was great for a family outing,
and with its beautiful ambiance, it's also perfect for those looking for a romantic spot in Seoul or
a slightly more unique Han River date experience in Seoul!

For our family, it wasn't just another ferry ride;
it felt like a summer night where we enjoyed magic, listened to music, and took in the Han River's nocturnal beauty all at once.
I believe it will be remembered as a truly special summer night~!

Next time, it's no secret that I'd love to go just the two of us (without the kids),
and try the dinner cruise, haha!
The kids were completely engrossed in the magic show,
while I fell in love with the Seoul night view from the 3rd-floor deck.
At 70 minutes, it wasn't overwhelming to ride with kids,
and it was wonderful for both a family outing and a Han River date in Seoul.
If you're looking to spend a slightly more special weekend,
definitely give the Yeouido Cruise a try!
