Exploring the Greenhouse
Our Honest Review

We arrived via Magoknaru Station. As you walk out, you will spot clear English signs pointing toward the greenhouse. Just follow those paths!
Once you exit the station area, the massive dome-shaped structure will be immediately on your left.
If you are driving, park in the designated visitor lot and head straight toward the glass dome.

You can also search for "Botanic Center" on your navigation app of choice (Naver Maps or Kakao Maps work best in Korea) to find it easily.
Once inside, simply scan your ticket barcode at the automated gates to enter the lush, tropical paradise.

The greenhouse is beautifully organized into distinct climate zones, each representing different cities and regions across the globe.

I loved that each zone featured informative plaques in both Korean and English. It makes the walk incredibly educational and engaging.

They have even integrated miniature architectural features and structures that match the specific region's aesthetic. These spots are absolute goldmines for your Instagram feed!

There are designated photo zones scattered all over the place. If you are visiting with your partner or your kids, you will walk away with some amazing memories and photos.

This was my first time visiting the Seoul Botanical Garden, and I was honestly blown away by how well-maintained it is. The sheer variety of plant life is spectacular, and it offers a wonderful hands-on learning experience for kids.

We got to see massive desert cacti that looked like they were straight out of a classic Western film, alongside an incredible array of unique succulents.

I think we saw more stunning, colorful flowers in one afternoon than we have all year!

It was a gorgeous, sunny day, and wandering through this lush greenery with my partner was incredibly therapeutic. I honestly didn't expect to enjoy it this much, but it ended up being the highlight of our week.
Best of all, if you use Seoul's Climate Card (기후동행카드) transit pass, you can score a neat discount on your entry ticket. It makes an already affordable ticket (standard entry is only about ~$3) even cheaper!
If you are looking for a unique, budget-friendly day trip to escape the concrete jungle of central Seoul, I highly recommend checking out the Seoul Botanical Garden Greenhouse near Magoknaru Station.
It is the ultimate urban sanctuary!
