Inside the Park

My grandparents were visiting after a long time, and I was wondering where to take them. My grandma finds it difficult to sit in a car for too long, so I looked for places nearby. I had only heard that Seoul Botanic Park in Magok was well-designed, but I was so pleasantly surprised!

It's not just about looking at plants; the park is beautifully arranged with various enjoyable activities and sights. My grandma especially loved the interactive games, which made me incredibly proud to have brought them here!

Heading into the main greenhouse, I expected just a lot of plants, but it was so beautifully decorated, offering a feast for the eyes.

It felt like stepping into a European garden! 💚

Following the path, we stumbled upon a charming little house, a perfect photo zone! We snapped a picture. 💚 (Definitely calendar-worthy for 2027!)

Just walk and stop anywhere, and it's instantly a photo spot! 💚

At the end of the path, there's a staircase leading to the skywalk. Luckily, there's also an elevator, which my grandma and I took up.

While walking through the plants below was lovely, the view of the greenhouse from above was absolutely stunning.

As you stroll along the skywalk, you'll eventually reach the greenhouse exit.

Right across from it, there's a gift shop, which we naturally gravitated towards.

The gift shop offered a variety of unique items, and as expected from a botanic park, it was filled with beautiful and diverse plants.

Near the gift shop, you'll also find a Garden Support Center, and...

...a cozy resting area where you can relax and read a book.

There's even an Oasis Cafe!

Think that's all there is to see at Seoul Botanic Park?

No way! 💚

Your greenhouse admission ticket also grants you access to the Themed Gardens.

Although it was winter during our visit, so things weren't as lush and green, it was still a pleasant place for a stroll. If you visit during rose season, I'm sure it would be absolutely breathtaking! 💚

Wheelchair Rental

My grandma finds it difficult to walk for long periods, so I inquired about wheelchair rental. To my delight, they offer them for free! The wheelchairs were also in excellent condition, so I highly recommend utilizing this service if needed.

Parking Lot

If you're driving to Seoul Botanic Park, be aware that the main parking lot can get crowded. They often direct visitors to a parking lot across the street. I assumed there would be a discount, but unfortunately, there isn't any parking discount for Botanic Park visitors.

Therefore, if you end up parking in the building across the street, I recommend getting your parking validated at the Starbucks in that building instead of the Oasis Cafe inside the Botanic Park. You can get 1 hour of parking discounted there.

It's a fantastic recommendation for families, grandparents, and couples looking for a lovely date. Parking is paid, but the admission fee is quite affordable, which is a big plus. If you visit when the flowers are in bloom, I'm sure it will be even more stunning! 💚
