Hey there, fellow travelers!
Recently, I gathered with some old friends for a pre-wedding celebration at Seoryeong, located inside the Pompidou Center Hanwha.

This was a place I'd been eager to try, so it was the perfect excuse to meet up at Seoryeong within the Pompidou Center Hanwha. 🤍

From Yeouinaru Station, it's about a 20-minute walk, roughly 1 mile. On a hot summer day like today (August 28, 2026), that can feel like quite a trek! 😭
So, I opted for a taxi from Yeouinaru Station and got off right at Gate A, the main entrance of Pompidou Center Hanwha!

The Pompidou Center Hanwha actually occupies just one floor, the basement level. I was a bit surprised by its compact size, but it's packed with a great selection of trendy restaurants and shops, making it a fantastic spot to spend some time.

Right by the entrance, I spotted popular spots like Island Vintage Coffee, Benson, and Pajak!
Even around 4 PM on a Saturday, which felt like an off-peak time, the area was quite lively.
With the summer heat outside, it seemed like many families were seeking refuge and enjoying their time here.
Seoryeong Yeouido Branch

While there were many enticing restaurants, our pick for today was Seoryeong Yeouido Branch!
Seoryeong's main branch, near Hoehyeon Station, is a Michelin-recognized Pyeongyang Naengmyeon restaurant.
Its popularity soared even further after renowned Korean celebrity Sung Si-kyung raved about it!
Just a heads-up: when we arrived around 5 PM on a weekend, there were three groups ahead of us, but we were seated in about 10-15 minutes.

We ordered the Seoryeong Sunmyeon (their classic Pyeongyang Naengmyeon), Bibim Sunmyeon (spicy cold noodles), and a plate of Hangjeong Suyuk (pork jowl slices).
Since one of my friends brought her child, we also added an extra serving of noodles!

Seoryeong Sunmyeon (~$12)
The broth had a wonderfully subtle yet rich beef aroma, and the buckwheat noodles, with their characteristic bite, were absolutely perfect. For me, it was comparable to other renowned Pyeongyang Naengmyeon establishments like WooRaeOk!

Bibim Sunmyeon (~$12)
This was my order, and it wasn't an aggressively spicy dish at all. The seasoning sauce itself was incredibly flavorful, offering a delightful and subtle savory kick that was simply divine. 👍🏻

And then there was the Hangjeong Suyuk, a full plate (~$26)
They do offer a half plate, but the portions aren't huge, so a full plate was perfect for our group.
Made with pork jowl, the meat was incredibly tender. Paired with the accompanying spicy radish salad, it was an absolute delight! ‼️
Typically, suyuk can get a bit greasy and less appealing when it cools down, but Seoryeong's Hangjeong Suyuk remained delicious even after it had sat for a bit.
My friend's daughter loved it too!
If you're looking for a kid-friendly option at Pompidou Center Hanwha, this Hangjeong Suyuk is definitely a winner.
Our first pre-wedding gathering at Seoryeong Yeouido was a resounding success! 💌
I highly recommend Seoryeong Yeouido at Pompidou Center Hanwha, whether you're looking for a special spot for a pre-wedding celebration, a family dinner, or just an authentic taste of Pyeongyang Naengmyeon in Seoul. ✨

It takes about 20 minutes to walk from Yeouinaru Station to Pompidou Centre Hanwha Seoryeong Yeouido. On hot days, walking might be difficult, so we recommend taking a taxi and getting off at Gate A, the main entrance of Pompidou Centre Hanwha.
When we visited around 5 PM on a weekend, there were 3 teams waiting, and we were seated in about 10-15 minutes. Seoryeong Yeouido operates without a break time on weekends, from 10:30 AM to 8:00 PM.
If you're visiting with children, we recommend the 'Hangjeong Jeyuk' (braised pork jowl) plate (~$26). It's tender and delicious even when cooled, and children are said to enjoy it. The basic menu items, Seoryeong Sunmyeon and Bibim Sunmyeon, are each ~$12.
