Ritardando Seongsu Review 2026: Chic Brunch & Wine Bar
Discover Ritardando Seongsu, a hidden gem in Seoul perfect for enjoying delectable brunch and fine wines in a relaxed, stylish setting. Ideal for conversations and unforgettable meals!

My friend and I stumbled upon Ritardando Seongsu while searching for a top-notch brunch spot near Seongsu Station.
This charming brunch destination immediately impressed us with its serene ambiance, a thoughtfully curated background music selection, and a menu brimming with unique, distinctive dishes.
📍 Ritardando Seongsu
B1, 393 Ttukseom-ro, Seongdong-gu, Seoul
Ritardando Seongsu is conveniently located about a 10-minute walk from Seongsu Station, Exit 3.
It can be a little tricky to find the entrance at first.

Just head down this rather atmospheric staircase, and you'll discover the door to Ritardando on the first basement level!

You'll find the door to Ritardando located on the first basement level!
They open at 11:30 AM on weekdays and 12:00 PM on weekends, remaining closed on Tuesdays.

We made sure to arrive right at the 12:00 PM opening time on a weekend, which allowed us to walk right in and enjoy a peaceful brunch without the crowds!

The lighting is incredibly subdued, and the background music is so tasteful, making it an ideal spot for a relaxed conversation.
The tables and main furnishings are unified in black, giving the space a calm yet luxurious feel. And those plush green velvet chairs? They add the perfect pop of color and personality!

There are both bar seating and two-person tables, and we opted for a cozy table for two.

Ritardando Seongsu Menu Highlights
Honestly, the biggest draw that led us to Ritardando Seongsu was their incredible menu.
As a wine bar, they boast a diverse selection, ranging from light finger foods to distinctive pasta dishes and gnocchi, making it perfect for ordering several plates to share.

Eager to sample a variety of flavors, the two of us ordered three different dishes.

With a beautifully organized open kitchen, we could even watch the chefs as they prepared our meals.

First up, the amazing meatballs!
These homemade meatballs were incredibly juicy and flavorful – we absolutely devoured them.

That creamy sauce, in particular, was so delicious we practically licked the plate clean!

Our next dish was the delightful pea soup.

While pea soup can sometimes be a bit mild, the addition of cheese in the center, enjoyed with crunchy croutons, made it absolutely delicious.
One thing to note is that, perhaps because many dishes are designed to pair well with wine, the seasoning was generally on the saltier side!

For our main course, we chose the impressive Sunday Roast.
We were instantly pleased by its generous presentation and the perfectly cooked, medium roast beef!

Featuring roasted vegetables like Brussels sprouts, carrots, and asparagus, alongside delicious potatoes, roast beef, basil pesto, and brioche bread,
This dish was a harmonious blend where each ingredient's natural flavor truly shone through!
Those potatoes, in particular, were cooked to perfection – crispy on the outside and wonderfully fluffy on the inside. They paired incredibly well with the roast beef and brioche, making every bite simply delicious!

There's another exit that leads to the restrooms.
The restrooms were just as clean and stylishly designed as the main dining area.
I particularly remember the lovely, subtle diffuser scent – a thoughtful touch!

The ambiance is so wonderful that it would be a fantastic spot to visit for wine in the evening.
A quick note on their policy: lunch requires one menu item per person, and dinner requires one glass per person.
(However, for dinner, they offer complimentary corkage for one bottle of wine per table – a great bonus!)
Ritardando is truly a hidden gem, perfect for enjoying diverse dishes and engaging conversations.
Just like its name, "Ritardando" (meaning "gradually slowing down"), the place offers a leisurely atmosphere where time seems to slow, allowing you to truly relax and savor the moment.
I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone searching for a stylish brunch spot or an inviting wine bar in Seongsu!
