Sanori Forest Camping Review 2026: Glamping Near Seoul
Escape the Seoul hustle at Sanori Forest Camping. Just 1 hour away, this dog-friendly, bring-your-own-food glamping spot is perfect for a weekend BBQ.

Looking for a quick nature escape from the concrete jungle of Seoul? Let me introduce you to Sanori Forest Camping, a hidden glamping gem located just on the outskirts of the city in Guri, right near the newly connected Byeollae Station.
Getting to Sanori Forest
Sanori Forest Camping is incredibly accessible for Seoul residents. If you're driving from the Jamsil area in eastern Seoul, you can easily make it here in under an hour (roughly 15 miles). With the recent expansion of the subway line to Byeollae Station, transit is now a breeze too. It is about a 20 to 30-minute walk from the station, so if you are carrying heavy bags or cooler boxes, I highly recommend grabbing a quick 3-minute taxi ride from the exit.

Parking Information: On-site parking is available. However, you must register the exact number of vehicles you plan to bring when making your reservation online. Space is optimized, so staff will guide you to your designated spot upon arrival.
Pet-Friendly Policy: This is a dog-friendly campsite! Puppies and dogs under 33 lbs (15kg) are welcome to join. Since this is a shared communal space, keeping your pet on a leash and practicing good pet etiquette is a must.
Pricing & Essential Camping Rules
Sanori Forest recently updated its policy, and the best part? Outside food is now fully permitted! This means you only need to pay for the site rental and your grilling essentials, making it a highly customizable and budget-friendly day-trip option.
- Weekend Rental Fee (per 3-hour session): ~$35 (covers 2 to 4 people).
- Extra Guest Fee: ~$6 per person (toddlers under 24 months are free).
- BBQ Essentials (Charcoal, Grill, & Firewood): Outside charcoal and firewood are strictly prohibited. You can purchase the complete setup on-site for ~$10.
Provided Amenities: Your rental includes a private tent, BBQ grill, kitchen shears, tongs, a portable gas burner (gas canisters sold separately), a microwave, and access to electrical outlets.
Crucial Tips Before You Go: Note that there is no communal washing sink on-site. I highly recommend washing, prepping, and chopping all your ingredients at home before packing. Also, they do not sell alcohol on the premises, so make sure to BYOB!
An Honest Review of the Experience

When you arrive, head straight into the cozy Sanori Forest Cafe. This serves as the check-in hub. The staff will assign your tent and help you get settled. The cafe also sells handy extras like ramen, snacks, and portable gas canisters if you forgot to bring them.

The weather was absolutely perfect during our visit—ideal for lounging outdoors and enjoying the fresh air.

For those visiting with children, this place is a wonderland. There is an adorable pink sandpit, quirky outdoor art installations, and plenty of space to run around.

During the summer months, they set up an inflatable bounce house and a mini splash pool, making it the ultimate weekend retreat for families.

The campsite is divided into two levels. The upper level (2nd floor) offers slightly better panoramic views of the surrounding forest, but we were assigned to a cozy spot on the lower level (1st floor), which was super convenient for accessing the cafe.

Since we had a larger group, we booked two adjacent tents. Inside, you'll find a clean wooden table, chairs, and your basic cooking appliances. One minor drawback: some of the outdoor gear, like the camping chairs and burners, showed a bit of wear and weathering. If you are sensitive to minor stains or outdoor dust, bringing along a few light camping blankets to drape over the chairs might be a good idea.

We fired up the grill and cooked an epic feast. Having a friend who is an absolute grill master made all the difference!

We grilled everything from thick pork belly and beef to sausages, spicy octopus skewers, and fresh scallops. Sitting around the fire, eating incredible food, and laughing with friends—this is what weekends are made for!
If you are searching for a hassle-free, dog-friendly outdoor getaway just outside of Seoul, I highly recommend booking a spot at Sanori Forest Camping near Byeollae Station!
