Sangsangmadang Chuncheon: 'A tempo' Art Exhibition Review 2026
Discover 'A tempo' at Sangsangmadang Chuncheon, a free art exhibition guiding you to find your natural rhythm amidst daily rush. A perfect escape for reflection.

Hello there! I'm Topi, a 5th-generation Muse for KT&G Sangsangmadang Chuncheon Supporters.
Today, amidst our endlessly busy daily lives, where we can briefly slow down
and find our own comfortable rhythm,
I'd like to introduce you to a very special exhibition!
Currently being held at the Sangsangmadang Chuncheon Music Art Center,
the Project #12 Nature <A tempo> exhibition
is a warm experience that offers precisely such a pause for all of you.
A tempo <A temPo>
Location: Sangsangmadang Chuncheon Art Gallery 1·2
Period: 26.07.18 - 10.11. (Closed every Monday)
Hours: 11:00 - 18:00 (Last entry 17:30)
Admission: Free
Participating ARTISTS: Garami · Kim Hyoju · Soundwolf · Pulpul · Hora · Sangsangmadang x Chuncheon

The musical term 'A tempo'
means 'return to the original tempo.'
The exhibition's concept notably urges busy modern people to 'return to their original pace (A tempo).'
The exhibition uses nature and music as a medium to suggest a time to briefly slow down and reflect on our current senses and daily rhythms.
It begins in 'Art Gallery 1' and naturally flows into 'Art Gallery 2'.
Each space conveys a different message and sensation, making it enjoyable to wander slowly along the path.

Art Gallery 1
This is where artworks created through the mutual influence of nature and music
are displayed.

If you stand still, listen to the sounds, and observe the visual elements,
you'll find your mind naturally calming down.
Art Gallery 2

The message of Art Gallery 2 expands to encompass our daily lives and
the region of 'Chuncheon'.
Sounds and movements discovered in nature are expressed through various art forms,

and the works featuring Chuncheon's landscapes were particularly impressive.
They encourage you to view the very place you're standing from a new perspective.
Also, as you move from Art Gallery 1 to Art Gallery 2 via the connecting bridge,
you'll see Uiam Lake in Chuncheon, and I felt a sense of unexpected peace wash over my busy mind.

I hope all of you, through this <A tempo> exhibition at Sangsangmadang Chuncheon,
find a moment to pause amidst your frantic daily routines.
