Exterior
1.5 Dakgalbi is nestled in Chuncheon's bustling 'Food Alley.'
Be warned, there's no dedicated parking lot, so you'll need to find street parking nearby.
It can be quite a challenge to snag a spot, so plan accordingly!

A friend who lives in Chuncheon recommended this spot to me a while back.
Interior
We arrived around 6 PM, and the place was already buzzing with people.
It quickly filled up completely!

They offer both regular table seating and traditional floor seating.
The floor seating extends into the hallway, which is actually quite convenient for the expert staff members who frequently come by to stir-fry your Dakgalbi.
My family (including me!) absolutely loves Dakgalbi. It seems like our annual pilgrimage for this delicious dish took us to Gapyeong last year, and to Chuncheon this year!
Menu
Teppan Dakgalbi

Chilled kimchi soup, fresh lettuce, ssamjang (dipping sauce), and garlic were served.

Besides the Dakgalbi itself, these are the only accompaniments. But hey, we came for the Dakgalbi, right?

Now, the waiting game begins!

The expert staff members frequently come over to stir-fry everything for you!
They might not be overtly friendly, but they get the job done efficiently – a classic 'tsundere' style of service.
I love it!

We added udon noodles.
I usually prefer chewy jjolmyeon noodles, but with the kids, udon was the crowd-pleaser!

As it cooks, it just gets more and more appetizing!

"Eat the udon first!"
And we wasted no time diving into the noodles.
The plump udon noodles soak up the rich, thick sauce as they cook.
That satisfying, sticky coating of sauce is just perfect!
They become soft and chewy, almost like tteok (rice cakes).

Once the Dakgalbi was fully cooked, we started devouring it!

Eat it plain, or wrap it in a fresh lettuce leaf with garlic and ssamjang.

It's that classic Dakgalbi flavor I adore. Is there a hint of curry in there?
Time for the fried rice!
One of the reasons my family loves Dakgalbi so much is because of the fried rice at the end.

It's been a while since I've seen the pan scraped so clean!
I love that they mix the Dakgalbi and the fried rice together.

Swish, swish, swish~

Flip, flip, flip!

Before you know it, the fried rice is perfectly mixed and ready!

Absolutely fantastic!
There are even bean sprouts in it.
The fried rice is truly the highlight! I almost wished we'd ordered more.

This trip, all our Dakgalbi restaurant choices were a success!
