We had Dakgalbi yesterday, but...
Our family
absolutely loves Dakgalbi!
So, we had Dakgalbi again today!
(No one had any objections, haha!)
It feels like a Dakgalbi trip...
This time, we came to Chuncheon Myeongmul Dakgalbi.
Exterior

The parking lot is spacious and right in front of the restaurant,
making it easy to visit by car.

Opened in 1987,
this place has a long history.
It was originally near the back gate of Kangwon National University,
but then moved to Samcheondong in 1990
and changed its name to the current Chuncheon Myeongmul Dakgalbi.
(A quick search revealed)

Interior
Step inside, and it's much more spacious than you'd expect.
There are plenty of tables and even group seating, making it perfect for family trips
or gatherings with friends.

There's also a self-service bar, so you can grab as many side dishes
as you need.
The self-service bar mainly offers refills for ssam (lettuce wraps) and dongchimi (radish kimchi),
so there aren't many varieties.
Dongchimi, ssam vegetables, chili peppers, onions, etc.

Menu

Dakgalbi (250g) ~$12
Chicken Gizzards (250g) ~$12
Bibim Makguksu (Spicy Buckwheat Noodles) (Large size +~$2) ~$7
Mul Makguksu (Cold Buckwheat Noodles) (Large size +~$2) ~$7
Children's Menu (Tteokgalbi / Grilled Short Rib Patties) ~$5
It was great that they had a children's menu
for kids who can't handle spicy food.
What We Ordered
Dakgalbi
Bibim Makguksu

Here too, they come by frequently to stir-fry it for you.
If they're a bit slow, we sometimes stir it ourselves.

It is a bit pricey for the amount of meat you get ;;;
I wish there was a bit more.....
Nevertheless,
the seasoning felt quite rich and flavorful,
so we really enjoyed it.
My parents said
this place was even tastier.
Me too, haha!

The dongchimi (radish kimchi) was a bit too sweet for my taste,
so it wasn't my favorite ;;;

Makguksu (Buckwheat Noodles)

The kids really wanted Makguksu,
so we gave it a try, and
it was refreshingly delicious and quite satisfying!
Fried Rice

They skillfully stir-fried it beautifully and evenly for us
using the plates they brought over.
It seems there are many fried rice masters here, haha!
Become delicious~
Press it down, press it down~

Thanks to a little culinary magic (and some pressing!),
it transformed into perfectly crispy fried rice, haha!
This is *exactly* why you've got to experience
fried rice cooked right on the sizzling hot plate!
That wonderfully chewy and crispy texture is just divine!

It must have been tiring for them to keep up,
but they've grown so much and enjoyed the trip with us
— such admirable kids, haha!

It takes me back to when they were little,
and honestly, it's just too cute!
Dakgalbi isn't just a dish;
it's a treasure trove of our family's memories.
I'm reminded to spend even more quality time with my parents.
