Craving Sushi Near Samjeon Station?
My girlfriend and I were looking for a great sushi spot for a dinner date, and we stumbled upon Sushi Mita (스시미타) near Samjeon Station (삼전역). To cut right to the chase, it was definitely worth the wait!

What's in a Name? The Meaning Behind 'Sushi Mita'
Many might wonder about the name. While the restaurant doesn't officially explain it, we have a theory! "Sushi (すし)" is, of course, the Japanese word for the dish. Interestingly, if you read Samjeon (三田) – the neighborhood where the restaurant is located – in Japanese, it's pronounced "Mita." So, it seems the name creatively combines "Sushi" with the local area, making it "Samjeon Sushi" in a clever way.

If you're curious, it might be fun to ask the staff during your visit!
Parking – Free & Convenient at Hotel Jamsil Stay
Sushi Mita is conveniently located inside the Hotel Jamsil Stay (호텔잠실스테이) building. This means you can park for free on the 1st floor of Hotel Jamsil Stay! Parking can be tricky around Samjeon Station, so having this hassle-free option was a huge plus. Keep this in mind for your visit!
Waiting – Arrive Before 7:00 PM, Seriously!
This is probably the most crucial piece of information! The last order is at 8:30 PM. If the wait gets too long, latecomers might not even get a chance to dine.
We arrived around 6:50 PM and waited for about 20 minutes, which felt pretty quick. However, we noticed that some people who arrived after us unfortunately had to turn away without being seated.
On busy nights, the wait can easily exceed an hour. So, if you're planning a dinner visit, we highly recommend arriving no later than 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM to ensure you get a spot!
Atmosphere – Chic, Sophisticated, and Inviting
Step inside, and you'll be greeted by a clean, sophisticated, and upscale atmosphere. The seating is primarily at a bar-style counter, which is fantastic because it allows you to watch the chefs meticulously preparing each piece of sushi right in front of you.
Seeing the skilled hands of the chef delicately placing the fresh toppings (neta) onto the rice creates a sense of anticipation even before the first bite. My girlfriend absolutely loved the ambiance, making it a perfect spot for a romantic couple's date.

The 2-Person Set – Sushi, Chawanmushi, and Udon
We opted for the 2-person set, which includes a delightful combination of sushi, chawanmushi, and udon.
First to arrive was the chawanmushi, a silky-smooth steamed egg custard that gently melted in our mouths, warming us up perfectly.

Then came the main event: the sushi. The moment a piece touched my tongue, the fresh topping (neta) practically dissolved, a testament to its incredible quality. The rice was perfectly seasoned and just loose enough to meld beautifully with the fish. It was, simply put, absolutely delicious!

Finally, the warm bowl of udon provided a clean and comforting finish to our meal.
Price – Incredible Value for ₩49,000 (~$37)!
The 2-person set was priced at just ₩49,000 (~$37). Considering it includes sushi, chawanmushi, and udon, and the portions were generous enough to leave both of us completely satisfied, we felt it offered amazing value for money.

For this quality at this price point, it's truly a fantastic deal. Besides the set menu, they also offer à la carte items like sashimi, "bomb gunkan" (a type of battleship roll), and futomaki. I'm already planning to try adding one of those on our next visit!
Combine it with a Jamsil Date Itinerary!
Since Sushi Mita is located within the Hotel Jamsil Stay (호텔잠실스테이) building, it makes for a great addition to a Jamsil (잠실) date itinerary, especially if you're planning an overnight stay in the area.
