have been buzzing about this place for its incredible flavor,
and I'm only just now getting around to trying it out.🥹

Ryokatsu Visit Tips‼️
Ryokatsu is known for its delicious and reasonably priced Tonkatsu made with domestic pork.
Since the restaurant gets quite busy during peak meal times,
we recommend visiting right at opening, after 1:00 PM for lunch,
or after the main dinner rush, around 7:00-8:00 PM.💓

Ryokatsu operates with a cozy setup of 11 counter seats.
During lunch, it was completely full,
with a short wait, but the queue moved quickly.
It's a great spot for solo diners,
a meal with friends, or a date.
I even saw families with children enjoying their meals!
Truly a beloved local gem in Geumam-dong, a representative restaurant of Jeonbuk University.
The interior of Ryokatsu exudes a charming, Studio Ghibli-esque vibe.
For a moment, I wondered if I was in Japan, or even Tokyo!
The thoughtful arrangement of props, posters, and postcards
made me want to pull out my camera even when the place was bustling,
capturing every delightful detail.
They've clearly thought about customer convenience during your visit,
offering chargers, wet wipes, and even after-meal candies
right by the entrance!💓
Even the Crayon Shin-chan clock is adorable!

They offer tenderloin (Ansim), sirloin (Deungsim), sweet potato cheese, and a half-and-half cheese option.
For those who can't decide, there's the Assorted Katsu.
Ryokatsu's popular menu item, Donpasu
(Tonkatsu + Pasta), is also available, along with Curry Rice.
They also have a single-person set that includes a drink and shrimp tempura.
You can also enjoy a free drink with a review event,
or upgrade your Cheese Katsu to Sweet Potato Katsu when ordering! 🍠🍠

With an open kitchen, you can watch the cooking process directly,
and each dish is meticulously prepared right after you order.
The kitchen hood was also sparkling clean!🩵
They prepare fresh ingredients every morning
and sell them the same day,
so please note that some menu items might sell out in the evening.
Before the meal arrived, wasabi and mustard
were already set on the tray.

Tonkatsu sauce, pickled radish, and rakkyo (pickled shallots)
were provided, and I even requested Maldon salt!

The magnificent Assorted Katsu made its grand entrance.
It included sirloin, tenderloin, cheese katsu, and sweet potato katsu,
served with refillable cabbage salad, miso soup, and rice.
Each piece was bursting with juicy flavor,
the meat was incredibly tender,
and absolutely free of any gamey taste.
Adding a sprinkle of pepper and a generous dab of wasabi,
I finished a truly perfect meal.
Ryokatsu is located near Jeonju Express Bus Terminal, specifically on the 1st floor of the Chamchi Ilbeonga building at 400-29 Girin-daero, Deokjin-gu, Jeonju-si. Please note that the restaurant does not offer parking.
Ryokatsu operates from 11:30 AM to 9:00 PM, with a break time from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM. We are closed every Sunday. Since the restaurant can get crowded during meal times, we recommend visiting right at opening (open run), after 1 PM (after the main lunch rush), or after 7-8 PM (after the main dinner rush).
Ryokatsu's popular Donpasu is a combination of Donkatsu (pork cutlet) and pasta. The Assorted Katsu includes loin, tenderloin, cheese, and sweet potato cutlets, served with refillable cabbage salad, miso soup, and rice.
At Ryokatsu, Donkatsu sauce, pickled radish (danmuji), and rakkyo (pickled scallions) are provided as standard. Upon request, you can receive additional Maldon salt, and wasabi and mustard are also available.
