A Comprehensive Guide to Pyoseon Beach:
From Parking to Showers, Tide Chart Parasols,
Nearby Cafes, and Must-See Spots around Haevichi Resort!
Located on the coast of Pyoseon-ri, Pyoseon-myeon,
Seogwipo City, in eastern Jeju Island,
it's also known as Pyoseon Haevichi Beach,
which literally means 'a beach where the sun shines'.
It's the endpoint of Olle Course 3
and the starting point of Olle Course 4.
This unique beach is famous for showcasing
entirely different landscapes
depending on the ebb and flow
of the tide.

It's great that pets are welcome,
although it's a bit of a shame
they can't go into the sea.
And having delivery available is definitely a plus!

There's shade from the trees,
so some visitors bring picnic mats,
and I even saw people with tents!
Parking
Public parking lots are available
around Pyoseon Beach,
and most can be used for free.
There was also a small, lovely playground
in front of the parking lot,
perfect for kids.
During the peak summer season,
cars tend to fill up quickly
after 10 AM,
so arriving early in the morning
allows for more relaxed parking.
Towards Haevichi Hotel and...
You'll find parking spaces
around the beach entrance,
making it quite accessible.
However, it can get full
on weekends and holidays,
so we recommend
arriving
as early as possible!

The mountain you see
from Pyoseon Beach
is called Maeoreum.
It blends beautifully
with the vast scenery
of Pyoseon's white sand beach,
creating
a wonderful
silhouette!
At high tide, the water fills in quite a lot,
but at low tide, the water can recede
up to 500m in a straight line from the entrance,
so you might have to walk quite a bit to reach the water.
It's best to swim
when it's high tide.
Even at high tide, the slope is gentle
and the water isn't deep,
making it perfect for splashing around
with young children,
and ideal for kids
to enjoy a swim.
Especially at sunset,
the sky transforms into a beautiful canvas
of colors over the sea,
making it famous as a photo spot!
It was August 2nd,
and the weather was absolutely glorious that day!

Parasol Rental
Parasol rental is ~$14.
A set with a stone seat and parasol is ~$21.
There's also a "Mongol tent," which is a really big tent, and that's ~$21.
There's a ~$7 deposit,
which is returned to you later.
The sun was incredibly intense,
but with the parasols available,
you can enjoy your time in the water comfortably.
You'll find
animal statues
and Haenyeo (Jeju diving women) statues all around,
and the stone seats and parasols
create an even more
exotic atmosphere.
You can even try 'haerujil' here!
There are plenty of
small conchs, like bomal (sea snails),
and fish
hiding in the rocks.

If you search for it,
it's easy to find.
Convenience Store, Shower Facilities
Hot water showers cost ~$2,
and for children, it's ~$1.
At the convenience store,
drinks,
cup noodles,
dumplings,
ice cream, slushes, etc.
were also available for sale.
There are also lifeguards.
Children's life jackets and
tubes are also available for rent,
making it convenient
to enjoy the beach.

Just 5 minutes from Pyoseon Beach,
it's a great place to stay after a swim.

Pets are allowed on the beach, but entering the water with them is prohibited. When accompanied by pets, leashes must be worn at all times.

Taking bus number 121 towards Pyoseon·Folk Village from Jeju Airport takes approximately 1 hour and 20 to 40 minutes. From Jeju City Bus Terminal, it takes about 1 hour by bus number 121 (express) or 221.
