Pompompurin Bakery Cafe
Shinsegae Gangnam Pop-up Location, Reservation, Merchandise, Prices, Menu, and Review
If you're a Pompompurin fan, a must-visit spot has just opened at Shinsegae Department Store Gangnam!
I thought it would just be a bakery cafe with a few types of bread and some merchandise.
But once I stepped inside, it was a Pompompurin paradise, truly! There were so many kinds of items, from plushies and keyrings to stationery, pouches, and even household goods, haha.
However, the weekend wait was much longer than I anticipated.
Make sure to check the registration process before you visit!
1. Pompompurin Cafe: When and Where?
Operating Period
2026.07.28 ~ 08.31
Opening Hours
Weekdays 10:30 AM - 8:00 PM
Fri, Sat, Sun & Public Holidays until 8:30 PM
Location
176, Sinbanpo-ro, Seocho-gu, Seoul
Sweet Park, B1F, Shinsegae Department Store Gangnam
Sweet Park is huge, but you'll find it on the wall at the very end, past where several other pop-ups are gathered!
It's near O'sulloc & Nespresso.
They don't take advance reservations; you'll need to register for Catchtable waiting on-site.
Waiting registration starts at 9:30 AM, and you can register at the machine to the right of the store entrance.
When you register,
Dine-in OR Takeaway & Merchandise Purchase
you'll need to choose between these two options.
I arrived around 10:25 AM on Saturday, August 1st, just as they opened, but my waiting number was already 117, even then! Talk about popular!
There were 94 teams ahead for dine-in, so even though I registered for takeaway and merchandise, I still waited over an hour to get in.
I thought I'd get in quickly and waited right in front, but even when the inside looked empty, they only let one or two teams enter at a time.
It seems like a strategy to ensure a pleasant and uncrowded experience.
There's no need to wait right in front; you can explore the department store and enter within 10 minutes once you receive a KakaoTalk notification!
Grand Opening Event
Purchase merchandise and receive a Pompompurin sticker.
If you spend more than ~$14 on food and beverage items,
you can get Pompompurin wet wipes.
*Available while supplies last; may end early.
2. What's on the Menu: Drinks and Bakery Items?
The cafe menu included coffee and non-coffee options,
as well as signature drinks featuring Pompompurin.
Pompom Meringue Shake ~$6
Purin's Choco Banana Obsession ~$5
Pompom Pudding Sweet Potato Shake ~$6
Among the bakery items, the most popular were:
Face Bread / Hat Bread / Butt Bread
These included a vanilla cream bun shaped like Pompompurin's face,
a chocolate chunk hat bun, and a sweet red bean butt bun.
All of them were priced at ~$4.
Pompompurin's friends –
scones, bagels, and mint items –
were each ~$4.
Sandwiches (Chicken, Basil Ciabatta) ~$6
Blueberry Bagel ~$5
Jambon Bagel ~$6
Salt Bread (Curry & Scallion, Squid Ink, Red) ~$2
Scone / Buldak Croquette ~$4
Muffin ~$4
Pompompurin Custard Pudding ~$4
Since it's a character cafe, the prices aren't exactly cheap,
but with the dishes perfectly capturing Pompompurin's look,
I'd say they're definitely worth trying at least once.
3. What kind of Pompompurin merchandise is available, and what are the prices?
The variety of merchandise here was truly impressive, among the best I've seen at any Sanrio pop-up I've visited.
Usually, at Sanrio stores, you might find a few Pompompurin items mixed in with other characters, but here, Pompompurin is clearly the star!
I really had to watch my wallet while browsing..!
The most eye-catching items were the 30th-anniversary commemorative goods.
30th Anniversary Plush Keyring (3 types) ~$17
30th Anniversary Acrylic Keyring (11 types) ~$4
Dolls: Large ~$34, Medium ~$20
Pompompurin Gacha ~$2
As expected, the gacha was super popular too!
Everything is so cute, so as long as you don't get duplicates, it's a total win!
The quilted pouches came in different sizes,
with a total of 5 types ranging from ~$7 to ~$12,
and you could only purchase up to 2 items per design.
Water Stickers ~$3
Bakery Postcards (set of 6) ~$3
Face Cushion S ~$24 / M ~$40
The plush toys also came in a really wide variety of sizes and designs.
Large plushies and cushions
ranged from the ~$14 to ~$35 price points.
Beyond these, they also had T-shirts, lap blankets, pouches, rugs,
car accessories, phone accessories, towels, toothbrushes,
parking number plates, and various stationery items.
In conclusion, the weekend waiting lines were just too long,
so I'm not confident I'd visit twice, haha.
If you're a Pompompurin fan,
this pop-up, featuring bakery items and limited-edition merchandise all in one place,
was definitely worth experiencing at least once.
On weekends, I'd recommend registering for the waiting list first thing at 9:30 AM,
and then exploring Shinsegae Gangnam, from the trendy I'm Donut to Hanjungseon,
following that path to explore the department store!
